My roommate said an aro/ace relationship is like, one where your have all the aspects of a romantic and sexual relationship just without actual sex and without romance, she also said it's emotionless? lol but she has never been in an aro/ace relationship

riiiight okay that honestly sounds like friendship.on a serious note though, people can label(or not label) their relationships whatever they want. BUT, asking if people are in “an aro/ace relationship” when they clearly label it friendship is kinda??? invasive??? idkme and Void are friends, just because she is aro/ace doesn’t mean its not awkward to ask if we are in a relationship. i’m sure there are people who are aro/ace who are in relationships without sex or typical romance who would consider their relationship to be deeper than friendship, and those relationships are totally valid and real. and that doesn’t mean they are emotionless, and that doesn’t make it okay to assume any meaningful friendship an aro/ace person has is one of those relationships.
