guys stop freaking out about “DASHCON2″

the campaign is OVER

they got money through flex funding and changed the name to Emoti-Con for whatever reason

here is the new website where they CLEARLY STATE that it was cancelled and they have no plans to reschedule

so yeah stop telling people not to fund it because it ended in september of last year and they cancelled the actual event anyways

Apparently Emoti-Con believes that those other (successful) conventions have topics of discussion that don't necessarily relate to the attendees and that Emoti-Con will distinguish itself by... talking about social media. And gardening, which is presumably a natural extention of the "internet-themed convention" aesthetic. And that "the reason that we are hosting our event in the Indianapolis Convention Center is explained in this post, and further in this post and again in this post" despite the only answer being that "we cannot answer any questions about Dashcon" (protip: they're holding the convention at the ICC because they're in too much debt to do otherwise). #dashcon #emoticon

Friendly reminder that the Emoti-Con Indy Faceook page (aka Dashcon 2.0) has now banned anyone at all from posting on their wall after too many people asked for refunds for Dashcon.
