They tried to rebrand as Emoti-Con Indy and crashed and burned in the most glorious way imaginable. 

Accumulated an extra $120,000 debt too, which is delicious.

So Cain Hopkins (knightofmisfortune) from Dashcon, who recently got convicted of shoplifting, is complaining that he’s in dire straits because

Because I trusted some people with my money I shouldn’t have. I trusted people that should not have been handling money in the first place, in the end getting really fucked over. On top of that, I was homeless for a bit and was taking care of myself and someone else’s expenses.  Now I am left with a bunch of debt for ivesting in other people and it is pretty terrible.

So that is why in a nutshell. I got involved with people I shouldn’t have, and paid a huge price. Now I basically have to pick of the pieces of my life and move on.

Except that people have been left out of pocket by your mismanagement.

You’re refusing to arrange refunds.

You’re going out of your way to prevent Roxanne from organizing refunds.

You got dropped by your lawyer because you couldn’t act professionally.

You tried to have another convention and managed to get yourself into $120,000 more debt.

Like no.

I can 1000% guarantee that the person who shouldn’t have been handling money is you.

guys stop freaking out about “DASHCON2″

the campaign is OVER

they got money through flex funding and changed the name to Emoti-Con for whatever reason

here is the new website where they CLEARLY STATE that it was cancelled and they have no plans to reschedule

so yeah stop telling people not to fund it because it ended in september of last year and they cancelled the actual event anyways

Do you thin Meg and Cain are done with running cons?

After Dashcon and Emoti-Con Indy, I'd really fucking hope so.Cain was convicted of shoplifting and seems to be spending his time on terrible Homestuck fanart.Megg lost her job at Renaissance Dental, and is planning to move in with Cain's ex-girlfriend (who is over a decade younger than her).They both got dropped by their legal representation for refusing to respond to communication, they both ran up debts purely to put Roxanne at a disadvantage, they've been sitting on a lot of Dashcon's financial assets and information to prevent refunds, and Megg's ex-husband had to get into contact with Roxanne to get a whole lot of Megg's shit removed from the property.I wouldn't trust them to organize a fucking lemonade stand, let alone another convention.
