Priest “Strong Hearts”
Florida synthpop duo Priest are one of my favorite new bands of the year (I previously featured them on my spring mix) and today they released their brilliant self-titled debut LP brimming with sugary, synthy 80′s electro-pop goodness, so to celebrate here’s one of my favorite tracks on the album, the soaring “Strong Hearts”.

Priest’s second single from their debut self titled album is the perfect pick me up to yet another gloomy NYC morning. Channeling her inner Robyn, Madeline Priest’s vocals immediately capture the listener as 80′s infused production, courtesy of David Kazyk, lays the groundwork for the tune.
Priest reaffirm the claim that electronic pop is alive and well not only abroad, but also here in the states. If the first two songs are any indication from the duo, we can be sure to hear more great stuff when the full album is released on May 5.
