coloured imprints of my heart (in the places where we touch) - Poem
your touch leaves trails of fire across my skin. oh, love, never stop. there are burning reds along my arms where you have tentatively trailed tender touches and soft, sweet oranges where you grab my hands and pull me into the dance. yellows flicker across my cheeks and jaw and lips where you brush your hands, love, to make me meet your ultramarine eyes. you are fire and you leave your marks on me. visible marks that echo the fiery brand you placed on my heart, love. and i leave my colours on you, love, soft wind colours, smooth sky colours, cool air colours. i leave soft silvers on your sides, softly sliding against your skin as i pull you flush against me. blues bubble around your throat as i suck marks into the skin over your pulse. love, i can feel your heartbeat, and you feel mine. i press my face into your shoulder, and leave behind the purple imprints of my heart in the places where we touch.
