Besties in Science!!!
This is so heart-warming and adorable and awesome all at once I could just die. These guys have been best friends since the 1st grade. Science fair best friends. And now they've invented a real-time emotion recognition program. Meaning, they were able to build a program that can actually recognize emotions in your voice as you speak. If you are angry, afraid, or happy - the computer will be able to tell - crazy! They were inspired by I, Robot of all things, which also makes me happy in terms of how movies and art can stimulate or inspire scientific innovation.
I think it goes without saying that these guys are winning at life and are going to be some equivalent of Sandy Frink from Romi and Michelle's High School Reunion, rolling up to their reunion in a helicopter and a suit with sneakers. Only unlike Sandy Frink, they have each other - which is really the best part. I can't wait for these guys to be really wonderful billionaires.
