Hey witchy tumblr, does anyone know of something I could do for empathy shielding? I need something to help prevent me from being overwhelmed by emotions that aren’t mine and prevent those feelings from causing me anxiety. Preferably something that doesn’t use sigils or a mountain of obscure herbs. (Sigils tend not to work great for me and I don’t have access to lots of different herbs) (I also actually tend to do more crafty magic and color/energy work than herbal/candle/sigil work)

Empathetic Transference/Understanding 👁

Description:

To induce empathy in your target for either a point of view in a situation or general empathy. If used for them to empathize with you, the caster, you can transfer your point of views etc. on a situation to them. This is not to change their views (but it might as an effect), but to let them gain understanding. As an effect, it will most likely make them more open-minded, as well. In cases of general empathy, they may become softer or more emotional, but this varies depending on the person.

Completely depends on the amount of empathy of the target and the experience/knowledge of the caster. Undefined.

What You’ll Need:

• 1 Pearl • Rose Quartz • Clear Quartz • A Symbol of the Target • 1 Picture of an Elephant • 1 Picture of a Dragonfly

How to Perform:

I’m not going to over complicate this part. This spell should be rather simple in concept and more complicated in fitting to your personal needs. The pearl represents the emotions of the situation and flow. The Rose Quartz brings in kindness, healing, and understanding. The Clear Quartz represents clarity, understanding, and concentration of the spell. The elephant and dragonfly photos directly connect to represent the realization and awakening of empathy, the empathy coming from the elephant and the dragonfly for the realization. When channeling the energy for this spell, direct it through your symbol of the target and to the target. Place the Rose Quartz and Clear Quartz next to symbol. Program channeled energy through the pearl that deals with what you want your target to empathize. Keep the photos of the dragonfly and elephant close to you to help visualize and connect your intent. What this should look like is having the two photos in front of you for your aid (awakening of empathy), and you should channel your empathetic intent through the pearl, then through and around the symbol, and sent to the target. Visualize the symbol as the actual target: As much detail in the visualization as possible. Try to use all of your senses. And visualize certain situations where what you’re awakening in them would be used.
