"I wish I’d never met you."
The moment the words registered in her ears, her lips slightly fell. She shouldn't have been disappointed though. They didn't even know each other for long, only becoming quick friends that talked to each other through Euphonic. Keeping her emotions intact, she swallowed down the words she wanted to say and gave the younger a fake smile. Her voice slightly shaky as she held back her disappointment. "You're joking right?"
Minah found many reasons to stay where she was. It was mostly because she didn't want to be more lost than she already was. She'd never been on this side of the city often, so when she had to run an errand, she should've figured that she would lose her way. She didn't want to ask someone for directions, but it seemed she had no choice. She walked up to the closest person, a girl who looked to be around her age, and tapped her shoulder. "Hello, can you tell me how to get to the post office?"
Jieun turned on her heels, doe eyes wide and fluttering in confusion and wonder in response to the touch of a finger. Her head tilt curiously, red painted lips pursed to a thin line as she registered the question. “The post office…” She spoke, trailing off into thought for only seconds at the most. She turned off into the opposite direction of the female, and without looking back, gripped her hand darting forward off to their destination. Truth be told, Jieun had no idea where she was going, but given she had the chance to justify herself to anyone who crossed her path, she definitely wouldn't pass it up. "It's this way, just followed me." She added, darting through the wind without giving the other much of a chance to object.
Minah was plenty surprised to see someone in the shop so late at night. It was usually just her and the workers who worked the night shift. The girl had sat at a table near her, and despite herself, Minah wanted to have someone to chat with. She stood from her seat and waltzed over to the table the girl occupied, a smile on her face as she pointed down at the seat. "I'm Minah. Mind if I join you?"
It was by mere whim that had led Miyuki into entering the shop, bare of any customers except for a scattered number of people that gathered sparsely at the tables. Taking a seat near the corner with a book held in her one hand and a cup of coffee in the other, it was more than a pleasant surprise when another girl came to sit across from her. “Ah, yes, I don’t mind at all!” Was that too chirpy? Perhaps, but Miyuki welcomed the company as she points to the seat and nods, “I would love the company, feel free. I’m Miyuki, Watanabe Miyuki.”
"Who did this to you?"
She'd been a fool and much too careless for her first trip in a foreign country, now seated by the sidewalks, back resting against a shop -- she doesn't know what kind because she couldn't read the tiniest bit of the characters written on its signage -- and her hands clutching her head. Yamamoto Sayaka had been sent there by her father to take care of the new company branch established there in Seoul and she thought she could do it, she thought it wouldn't be so different as going to a different prefecture in Japan for the same reason so she accepted the "challenge".
Except, she didn't expect for all of her things to be stolen the second day she was there. Wallet, clothes and passport spared as she had left them in her hotel, her laptop, camera, phone and the company's car keys had been stolen away from her by some yankee of sorts (she doesn't know how they call it here) and now she just doesn't know what to do. She'd been deeply depending on her phone's GPS to tell her where to go and the way to and fro from the company she's supposed to be tending but know she just -- she just doesn't know where she is anymore.
She flinched when she heard a voice different from those who'd merely passed by her, talking to their friend or lover or family and slowly, she turned her head up to meet the dark chocolate orbs of another female; her own eyes wide and surprised because as much of a laughing stock she must seem right now, sitting on a sidewalk looking all troubled, the last thing she expected was for someone to approach her and well, while she is grateful about it, she just couldn't understand anything the girl was saying.
"S-Sorry?" She cleared her throat as she spoke in broken English, her Japanese accent thick and evident, "I don't understand..." and that was as far as her English could go, unable to find the words she wanted to say next.
Waiting at the bus stop was not something Minah did often. She liked to walk wherever she went, especially because she liked admiring everything around her. They inspired her and her music. It was raining. The soft pitter patter soothing her tired mind while she held the umbrella over the top of her head. This was one of the bus stops without something to cover its passenger, which was when she saw a girl she hadn't seen soaked by the rain, she held out her umbrella to her. "Want to share?"
Late. Both in a "actually late for something important" sense, and in a "your watch could read ten till ten if hadn't been soaked by the seemingly endless downpour of rain" sense. But Rena, as oblivious to climate change as she was, hadn't minded it. Not in the least of bits. Her left hand secured tightly around a loaded grocery back, and her right struggling to keep it all "rain free". The automaton didn't mind it, no, but when it came down to being the source of another's happiness: everything became a weighed down struggle. "Huh? Ah.." Her eyes descended into thin, tightly formed slits, words only getting strewn around her head before allotting for a more -- or less -- acceptable answer. "That's very nice. Thank you. But my clothes..and me. I'm already soaked," her neck craned to the side, head tipping downwards only to further examine the stranger, "is this really alright?"

[ Arctic Monkeys // When The Sun Goes Down ]
The weather wasn’t at its best but Jongsuk just needed a breather, so he had taken the subway to the beach. He found himself walking on the sand, shoes in one hand enjoying the colour of the sunset that was now taking over the whole sky. He closed is eyes as he walked past the sea, listening to the sound of the waves hitting the shore, but then hearing a high pitched scream.
He quickly turned his attention to where the noise came from and saw a girl and a tall, slightly creepy man standing near each other. Quickly running over he noticed from the girl’s scared voice that they couldn’t have been friends and Jongsuk walked up to the man “Hey man, just walk away and leave the girl alone.” Thankful that he was much taller than him and that he could be quite intimidating when he wanted to be.
