Finally, today I was (almost) in top shape and thus I headed out to EmpireJS, where I met incredible people. It’s always amazing to meet people from the JavaScript community, they are incredibly helpful and approachable. The community is one of the reasons I still love & work for the web. The whole day was full with wonder and amazing talks about all kinds of interesting stuff. I always get a stream of ideas when I go to these events. And to add the icing to the top of the cake: after-party! Where you get to know new people and get closer to the people you already knew. Me and Sarah didn’t stayed until late though, I headed out back to RC because…
… they were having a cookie decoration party! Our current resident, Mark Dominus, had the amazing idea of organising such a thing, even after all the talks he gave! He’s totally the best resident we’ve had so far, and he brought so much good stuff to RC… Anyway, cookies! I made sure I ate a lot of them (Mark even baked around 80 of them!) and I even had the time for some kind of a cookie selfie. I think I got it really close…
