part 4 - nothing short of a tragedy

Ruling an Empire whilst grieving

wasn't what she wanted, but it was what she had to do. After the defeat of the Umbra and the death of Empress Amore, the Crystal Empire was left with a bittersweet victory.

Rose became closer with Celestia and Luna, which ended up with her meeting their brother, Orion. While she was friends with the sisters, she was particularly close with Orion. A few years later and they married with a small wedding in the Empire's castle and weeks of celebration and festivities.

They lived happily until Orion's disappearance, but by that time Rose was already with child and was once again left to grieve. Searches for Orion began all over Equestria. When Rose gave birth a few months later, she named the new pegasus princess, Mi Amore Cadenza.

Unfortunately, the birth of Cadence was too hard on Rose's body and she died only a few hours afterwards.

With the Second Empress dead, the Crystal Empire was left defenseless against the Umbra that remained outside. With no-pony strong enough to hold them back and the Crystal Heart weakened with grief, the Umbra began to attack.

As the Crystal Empire faded, an unnamed Crystal Pony took baby Cadence and ran for civilization. With the Empire fading out of existence, along with any ponies still residing there, Cadence was delivered to a nearby city and placed in the care of her new adoptive parents.

With the Death of her mother confirmed, the search for Orion would continue for years, but no trace of him or what happened would ever be found. And so, Princess Mi Amore Cadenza was left orphaned as a filly, never knowing her parents. But she would grow up to one day rule the Crystal Empire and restore it to its former glory.

EMPRESS AMORE

I know that she's supposed to be a unicorn, and im writing her lore that way, but i forgot while i was drawing her :P

so the drawing has wings but she canonically doesnt, so just ignore that and pretend she is a unicorn because i don't feel like re-drawing her ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

her cutiemark is also a little wonky but you can still see the design so its not a huge deal

Her lore chapter will hopefully be out tomorrow, i know i said it was gonna be out today but i forgot and im only 1/3 done with it and its a struggle >~<
