Sorry if this comes off as stalkery or you've gotten this question before, but I saw your dorm on fyeahcooldormrooms and I was wondering how you found and printed those pictures? I wanted to try something similar, but I wasn't sure how you went about it. It looks absolutely incredible!

hi! no worries at all :) I’m glad you like it :D so those are actually grabbed off my own tumblr! I searched for pictures I had reblogged onto my own blog with “optimism” or “inspiration” (feel free to check that tag out yourself!) but made sure they were all oriented vertically and had some combination of cool quote and/or pretty background, I then sorted them into 3 rows with 9 pictures each by font type (handwritten - cursive, handwritten - normal lettering, typed) and by color to get a cool gradient-like effect. I printed each picture on normal printer paper and taped them up in a grid-like pattern but if you want them to last longer I would definitely recommend sturdier / glossier paper - the corners on mine ended up getting curled by the end of the school year :( hope that helps! This is so incredibly important to know and be aware of. He was one of my roommate's high school friends. This is what she had to say:

Isaias is literally the sweetest person you will ever meet! He never has a bad thing to say about anyone, he is always cheerful and kind. He's the kind of person who genuinely cares about you. He won our high school men's beauty pageant. He's respectful and just a wonderful human being. To know this happened to him makes me sick. To know that this is still happening, in a land where we "abolished" slavery 150 years ago is a travesty. And to know that Isaiah isn't alone in the horrors he endured is heart breaking. This happens everyday! I lived in Manassas for over 10 years. None of us knew this happened to him until he was brave enough and come forward to speak for those who are experiencing what he has and who can't speak for themselves. Isaias is religious and the fact that people corrupted, perverted, and used his love for God against him is disgusting. But he's still kind and caring is inspiring. In this video he says some of the things that happened to him. He says what it was like to live in modern day slavery. Please watch this video. Please listen to my friend.
