hi ! im interacting in good faith. im not sure if i should avoid using the flag ne made? or have nir stances changed? or is it ok to use it? it's been a while since it was made but idk > ﹏ <
(i don't think about my stances much, but i support all lgbtq+ identities and don't discriminate against any)
idk if Rowan has changed nir opinion on all that. and tbh, i don't really think it matters.
at this point, the nonbinary flag is pretty established as the nonbinary flag. so i just don't think there's really any point in trying to change it, regardless of what the creator's opinions are. it's not like Rowan is still around openly posting as the creator of the flag, and saying bigoted things in the name of the flag, y'know?
it's not like how it was with the bigender flag, where it's a relatively small community that was already using multiple flags (and thus easy to just drop the one made by a transmisogynist).
and it's not like how it was with the lesbian flag stuff either, where your only options were the flag heavily associated with TERFs and the ones made for specific subcultures. so also pretty easy to just make a new inclusive flag for the whole lesbian community.
so, yeah. it's fine to keep using the nonbinary flag.
