A/N: yep, I’m posting twice today. I didn’t realize I have less than a week to post everything I’ve done for this bingo. Gosh, what a dummy. Anyway, this was written for @spntfwbingo. Also, some lines are from the episode 13.04 “The Big Empty”. Hope you enjoy it!

“Y/N.”
Your eyes shot open at the call for your name. You sat up, wide eyes scanning your surroundings. Except there was nothing there. Everything was… black? Empty?
“Hello,” you said, walking around in search of anything. “Is anybody in here?”
Pacing around the empty space, you found nothing. Your voice didn’t echo. There were no walls and it seems to be no floor either, but you were stepping on something.
Far from you, what it seemed to be a black goo shaped itself into a human form. You didn’t know if you should walk closer or not. The black figure started to turn itself into someone. You stepped closer to get a better view. The sight of trenchcoat before your eyes.
“Cas?” your eyebrows furrowed as you rushed to him.
“Hello,” he answered, but it wasn’t the deep voice you were used to. The voice was laced with a sharp accent. It wasn’t Castiel.
“Who are you?”
“I’m just your friendly neighborhood cosmic entity.”
“Why do you look like Cas? What have you done to him?”
“Oh, nothing,” he brushed off. “Cas is fine. He’s happy and well on Earth. You on the other hand…”
“What? Where am I?”
“You see, before God and Amara, creation, destruction, Heaven, Hell, your precious little Earth, what was there?”
“Nothing.”
“Yes. That’s right. Nothing,” he said weirdly excited. “Nothing, but Empty.”
“No. That can’t be,” your voice faltered as realisation started to set in. “I’m not-“
“Dead?” he scoffed. “Yes, you are, darling.”
You died. You couldn’t remember how. You didn’t know how, but it happened and you were here. Just where she said you would be.
“Now, you see, Y/N,” he crossed his arms, circling around you. His finger tapping his lips. “You’re human. Which makes me question, what are you doing here?”
“Billie kinda hates me and my brothers,” you told him. “She promised that the next time any of us dies, we are gonna stay dead. She promised she’d throw us somewhere no one could get us out. The Empty. I didn’t believe it, but-“
“Wait,” he interrupted you. “You died more than once?”
“Yeah, this is my third time actually,” your hand reached to the back of your neck, scratching it.
“You are a pain in the ass, girl” he stated. “Which brings me to my second question, why are you awake?”
“Why shouldn’t I be awake?”
“You’re a dummy or you just play dumb?” you rolled your eyes at him. “In all forever, nothing ever wakes up. I mean ever. Ever. When you woke up, I woke up, and I don’t like being awake.”
“Then you should send me back,” you suggested. “You said you like to sleep and I am keeping you awake. You see, I’m not going to sleep. Not now, not ever. And apparently, I can’t go anywhere. The best thing you’d do is send me back.”
“I’m not sending you back. You’re going back to sleep whether you want to or not.”
“C’mon, send me back,” you grumbled. “My brothers need me. Cas needs me. They must be miserable without me. And I know you don’t care but if you really want to go back to sleep you should send me back to them.”
“You see, Y/N, the world doesn’t revolve around you,” he said. “You’ve been asleep for quite a while. They moved on. They don’t need you anymore. They never did. They are better without you.”
“You know nothing about me or about my family.”
“Oh, Y/N, I know everything there is to know about you,” he smiled mischievously. “I know what you hate. I know who you love. I know what you fear. There is nothing for you back there. Your brothers aren’t waiting for you. They did nothing to get you back. They are not going to do anything to get you back.”
“Then why am I awake, huh?” you asked, arms crossed over your chest. “You said yourself no one has ever woken up from their sleep. Then why am I awake? How do you explain that?”
“You’re awake because you are a pain in my ass.”
“You don't know why," you scoffed. "You have two options: you either send me back to the ones I love or we’ll spend the rest of eternity awake, driving each other crazy. And trust me,” your lips curled into a smirk. “I know damn well how to drive someone insane to the point they’d wish to be dead rather than being around me. I would guarantee you an eternity of misery.”
What did you think of this one? I’d love to know. You can tell me via reply, reblog or ask!
Am I the only one who feels like there was a fanfiction gap between that scene with Cas and empty!Cas and Cas actually waking up in a field? Because if they really are going to bring the empty back later on, either as a flashback or not, I would pay good money to watch Cas fight off his depression like the badass motherfucker he is.
