STHL welcomed representatives from the College of Economic and Management, Shaoyang University on May 16, 2026, for a company visit and the signing and plaque-awarding ceremony for a Student Employment and Entrepreneurship Base.

The visit included several areas of STHL’s workplace and manufacturing environment, including the shipping warehouse, SMT workshop, THT workshop, incoming materials warehouse, and sales support department.

For STHL, this cooperation is a practical step in supporting student employment, entrepreneurship practice, workplace learning, and long-term talent development.

A functional prototype is a milestone, but it is not the same as batch production readiness.

For industrial control boards, the transition from prototype to batch production is where engineering learning has to become production discipline.

The board has to move from “this sample works” to “this build can be repeated.”

That means the released design package, BOM revision, firmware version, pilot build results, FAI, assembly route, test method, change control, traceability, and integration readiness all need to be clear before the order scales.

“Industrial grade” is not a build instruction.

For industrial control board assembly, the application has to be translated into production requirements: the board’s operating role, BOM rules, IPC class, inspection scope, functional testing, connector handling, traceability, and mechanical integration needs.

That is the difference between a board that simply powers on and a board that can be built, tested, documented, installed, and repeated under controlled conditions.

A smart fragrance device may look simple from the outside.

But inside, the PCBA main board has to do much more than power a fan.

It needs to coordinate power management, fan control, LED behavior, button or switch input, compact internal space, assembly path, and testing requirements. For OEM buyers, that means the board should be considered early enough in the product development process, not after the enclosure is already fixed.

This project also shows an important cooperation model:

Not every consumer electronics customer needs full ODM support. Some already have the product direction, brand concept, enclosure, or app experience in place. What they need is a reliable PCBA main board partner to support the electronics side of the product.
