Thanks for the tag @rae-lune!!! almost forgot about this lmao.
The growing gap in wealth distribution — endlessly angry about how much this has grown since the 80s, but especially over the last decade. My generation was set up for failure.
Opioid crisis, homelessness, and addiction — we have one of the highest homeless rates in the country where I live and it's devastating to see, and also insane how desensitized to it we are. Realistically there's no fantastic solution, but I sure love to talk about the potential options.
Anthropology — After deciding I didn't want to major in Wildlife Biology, and before settling on English Lit, I really wanted to study Anthropology. I did end up getting a minor in it, and would have pursued further education, but what the heck would I have done for work in that field. Anyway, I do find the subject really interesting, and in my free time I keep up on developments in those studies. I can yap forever and forever about pre-historical human history.
Wolves + Conservation + Preservation — Fun fact, I originally wanted to major in Wilflife Biology with a focus on Carnivores, specifically Wolves and Canids. I didn't because I went on a job shadow with the Wolf Specificalist for Fish and Wildlife in my state and he gave me a whole list of reasons why he would advise people not to pursue a career in that field. One of my friends did, and is living proof why it isn't a good idea. However, I've done alot of independent study in the field and could yap for ages about it.
Writing — at the end of the day, my passion is writing. I love dissecting and analyzing stories, and strategies, and studying writing techniques, as well as storytelling structures.
