When I was picking my new name after coming to terms with my true identity, I knew that the name Elijah was perfect for me. Because it matched my requirements:
• It had to start with the same initial as my deadname. I really wanted to keep my initials.
• It was honoring God and I wanted Him to be involved in my transition. (I am a Christian)
• It was one of the names I chose back when I was thirteen and knew I was trans. (Now I’m 20) I wanted to honor me, that little boy.
I picked Max as my middle name because it reminded me of my first dog I ever had, my first best friend I had named Max & it is such a comfy name.
But, since I realized I am Bigender (Etherio & Maverique), I’ve decided personally that I would like another name to fit for when I do feel more Maverique. But I am having such a difficult time trying to figure it out.
The names that I have so far are:
• Storm
• Silver
• Tiger
• Mars
• Spirit
• Angel
• Rocket
• Grey
• August
• Shadow
• Mystery
• Fisher
My aesthetics are: cybercore, cryptidcore, futurism, spacecore, kidcore, religious theme, paranormal, apocalyptic, technology, robots, steampunk, weirdcore, summertime, springtime, autumn, hospitalcore, monster high, historical ancient creature, cats, traveling, everything about the sky…. The main ones anyway lol
Can anyone recommend me any noun/object or actual names (maybe some neopronouns, I would love to try them out) that would fit me?
Other facts about me: I’m Alterhuman (Alien Angel), I study Psychology in College, I am very masculine in personality & identity, my favorite colors are gray, blue, green, pink. My favorite animal is Lions or anything feline.
Non-Binary, possibly kidcore, or just obscure names :)
Bottle, Duck, Goldfish, Elmo, Scooter/Scoot, Cap, Sneakers/Sneaks, Tape, Yellow, Nemo, Crayon, Canvas
Why are names so hard? Like I really like Eren but I know there will be the connection that Anime & I don’t want people thinking thats why I picked it. No hate on the anime, I just don’t watch that stuff. Also, it is a guarantee that someone will spell it wrong, either “Aaron” or “Erin”. Do I really want to deal with that? No. But also, the sound of the name is common, and it doesn’t scream nonbinary feel. And I know, technically any name can be nonbinary, but society just likes to gender unnecessary things.
But my brain just wants this ultimate true unisex, gender neutral name. Like it genuinely makes people see it on paper & think “is that a boy or a girl?”. When I am looking for names, specifically gender neutral ones, there is themes of fantasy, nature, mythology & space majority of the time. While I love space, I do not fit with any of those themes. I don’t want to pick a name that doesn’t fit me because I’d feel like I am trying to be something I am not. Hm, decisions.
