Disney Princess: Enchanted Journey - Hub: Painting Room
Zara Enchanted Journey is basically an overblot, and you can't change my mind !
So first, let me introduce you all to Zara, since I know not all Twisted Wonderland fans are bigly into the depths of Disney --- I mean some of us are, but I also know not all of us have the overlap with say something like Kingdom Hearts.
This is Zara, and she was the main antagonist of a Disney Princess game you may have played when you were young known as Enchanted Journey --- it is also one of my favourite games of all time being one of the only video games I ever played in my childhood.
Zara was a Princess, but due to not wanting to take time to learn the lessons that classic Disney Princesses taught ( kindness, generosity, friendship, etc. ), she was banished from her kingdom and stripped her title of Princess.
She later discovers she has great magical abilities, that include but are not limited to : Manipulation of time, the ability to steal sound, the ability to create illusions, etc.
Because Zara is not a Princess, she is resentful and believe that if she cannot be a princess, why should anybody get to be a princess?
Zara's boss fight can be a little interesting, and this is where in my opinion, similarities to overblots happen!
I would have liked to clip the portion myself, but it'd take less time to get the cutscene off of the internet, to be honest with you guys!
Zara's full fight cutscene ^^^^^^
We'll be going through moments of this to overanlyze who I think it is so similar to the way an OB is presented!
Starting with her reasonings, they sound pretty silly but its firstly a children's game and I think also probably about as on par with any of the twst boys if you think about it ; Zara is banished from her kingdom because she doesn't want to listen which is yes, her own fault but at the same time this means that her parents which "I was born a princess" would imply that she has royal parents to begin with and sending her away the way that she was would basically be sentencing her be alone for possibly years?
Long enough for them to replace her.
Because I'd like to bring up, Princess of Gentlehaven is now the Princess of Gentlehaven of Castle, the castle which is assumedly Zara's.
Zara is someone who comes from a royal background and has had all of that taken away from her, she has no understanding of how to live outside of that background so the lack of respect would definitely get to her I'd consider her be on the same severity as Leona as the implications that you could go through in her words.
Now, of course Zara isn't written to be as complex as Twisted Wonderland characters, this is a 2007 game for little girls on the Wii.
Now moving onto the fight itself, Zara floats up into the air not unlike overblot boys we've seen before.
He's not floating as high above ground but honestly, when characters overblot, they are shown bobbing up and down even in sprites, implying that they are floating.
Zara also uses "monsters" to attack, these creatures being known as the bogs though she's had them the entire game so this doesn't necessarily count but I thought it was worth mentioning.
Zara's boss fight like a few fights in Twisted Wonderland with overblot characters is also multi-phase, this is literally how video games work so I won't be relying on this too much.
But it just happened to remind me of how some Twisted Wonderland overblot fights are in later parts of the story.
and finally, when all is done and she's been defeated, she drops to the floor depressed.
This reminds me of the position usually assumed by overblot characters before they begin to spill their backstory, Zara does not spill her backstory since we got it earlier and it is a game mostly aimed at children.
But Zara soon gets her implicit redemption as the protagonist tells her to hold their hand.
Every single one of the overblot characters gets a chance to make things right by assisting the Prefect / Player Character in the following story.
Unfortunately for Enchanted Journey, we never get the follow up for Zara, we just know that she and Princess of Gentlehaven are on good terms and that the kingdom returns to its original state.
Based on a conversation between @whispers-of-gallifrey and I where I said that the apollo justice steam icon really reminds me of the TOP TIER PS2 disney princess game that we both played

WITCHY DO YOU PLAY THAT GAME TOO OH GOD
*Memory is now unlocked*
My bestie, this game was so out of context but it's a part of my childhood. It made me believe in artblock bogs
Now it's my turn to scare you with the power of friendship
