“Oh, I’ve been wounded!” Belle declaimed, dramatically clutching at her shoulder where Chip’s snowball had hit her and sinking to the ground. “Yes, yes, I surrender! You’ve defeated me, brave Sir Chip,” she said, falling onto her back in the snow with a laugh.

Now that Adam and Belle were to be married there was so much for the future princess to learn as well as an entire wedding to be planned and soon after the wedding the coronation would take place and she and Adam would be King and Queen. It was all rather daunting and the young brunette needed a break. Her life would be so changed from simply caring for Papa in a small cottage to now ruling a kingdom by her future husband’s side with servants at their beck and call. That was going to be a hard adjustment. Belle was an independent young woman. One who enjoyed cleaning and even more so cooking. It was how she was raised. She didn’t know any different. Surely there was a large enough staff to handle all of this, but Belle didn’t mind helping. In fact she preferred it to tedious details of the upcoming events which only set her nerves on edge. 

Into the kitchen she went and a warm smile formed on her lips as she saw the familiar housekeeper busy at work. Over the year Mrs. Potts had come to be like a mother to Belle. 

"Bonjour, Mrs. Potts. Is there anything I can do to help?"
