Hazel eyes would widen in surprise at the mass destruction unleashed by the young mage, disbelief still painted on his features. While he had no doubt in her abilities, it was a whole different thing seeing her at her full strength. She reminded him a lot of Cyrus, just in a smaller and much more terrifying package. Ragnarok was certainly a fitting name for such a spell, and it made his Wildfire look like a tiny flame. Snapping out of his wonder, the thief would quickly spin around and slash at the goblins trying to sneak up on him. He would definitely comment about it later though.

★ █ THOUGH SHE’D HAVE LIKED to find a quieter locale to begin her research, Marisa sensed this island was as lacking in privacy as the city that sparkled distantly in her memories, very much like the art shining faintly in the depths of the pool before her. The sun is slightly overcast, or she suspects it would really sparkle down there. People swim here, though off in the distance, so this isn’t likely to be a good practice location.

Still. She reaches into the folds of her apron and gingerly removes a small, wrapped bundle, done up in poorly-tied twine and rice paper, and tosses it into the water. At least she checked if no one was within range while swimming before doing so -- her little test bundle composed of as-yet unidentified mushrooms roasted, soaked in a solution of her own devising, and then dried two weeks goes first with a ‘bang!’ and then creates a miniature geyser that subsides almost as quickly as it appears.

<<I’ve made some that packed more punch... darn.>> Maybe she’s not found the ideal process yet. Of course, at this point, she’s got bystanders, swimming and on land alike looking at her, so she waves to all around. <<Nothin’ dangerous goin’ on here, I promise! Sorry!>>

‘ everyone i love leaves ’

the princess saves herself in this one. ( accepting ! )

     "Oh, Delthea..." She frowns. "Please, do not think that way."

          Her gaze narrows down to match her sad expression, as knees bend to easily meet her gaze. To think such a sentiment weighed on a young girl's conscience, it didn't sit well with her. In Delthea, she felt akin with bearing similar pains. From her separation from Alm, to the survivor's guilt that emerged from the fire in the Villa—- she ended up being the one leaving. Perhaps this is what her comrades felt after she sacrificed her soul to Duma.

          The poor girl must have suffered much loss if she felt that way. Yet, Celica knew that none of their comrades intended on abandoning her—- or any of their friends for that matter. No matter how far apart in distance, such bonds were unbreakable.

          A loving hand rests on the young mage's shoulders, as lips part to speak with a tone of compassion. She cared about Delthea, and she wanted to ease her troubles.

     "Alm and I, Luthier, the others—- we would never leave you. You have my word." She says, before clasping her hand gently in between her two. "We all love you, Delthea. Please remember that."

The thief would watch as the young mage would run into the water, the waves splashing all around her. He should have known that she would drag him to the beach at some point. He by no means hated the beach, not by a long shot, but it became significantly less fun when he had to look after her. Dropping the bag of their things, he would lay down the towels and set up the sun umbrellas, he would plop down on one of the towels with a sigh. Hopefully she didn’t get a cramp or something, because he didn’t feel like running into the water quite yet.

they are a bit surprised to be scooped up by the bubbly mage. though they stand two feet shorter than her, they prove to be rather light in weight. perhaps the girl had misjudged this fact and she stumbles slightly from overexerting her upward heave.

tiny hands gasping at the cloak drawn over her shoulders, the knight does not panic outwardly, yet they seem to be jarred by the sudden ascent and consecutive lurch. when the girl rights herself, they do not follow suit. unfortunately …

their foreheads collide with a definitive thunk. the vessel’s shell is hard like bone and though they find themself uninjured, they are a bit nonplussed when the arms clasped around their midsection slacken following the impact.
