WHY FUCK VINYL?

We use the word fuck purposely in our motto “Fuck vinyl” as a way of denouncing the overabundance of vinyl that has almost totally killed off the traditional craft of hand lettering. It's our vision as an artistic duo to do everything by hand, as to give a more human quality to the contemporary landscape, while being much healthier for the environment. We denounce our throwaway culture, done fast and without quality, which perfectly reflects our society, where patience and attention to detail rarely exist. In our society, where homogeneity reigns supreme, the fear to disturb the supposed established “order” creates a culture of non questioning conformism drones. We do not want to offend anyone, just take a firm stand. Have a great day!

Nous utilisons le mot “Fuck” dans notre slogan “Fuck vinyl” dans le but de dénoncer fermement la surabondance du vinyle, qui a presque entièrement détruit le métier du lettreur traditionnel, et aussi parce que ça fait partie de notre vision comme duo artistique qui consiste à tout faire à la main et redonner une qualité humaine au paysage contemporain tout en étant beaucoup plus sain pour l'environnement. Nous dénonçons la culture du jetable, du fait rapidement et sans qualité, qui réflète parfaitement notre société où la patience n'existe plus, l'homogénité règne et la peur de déranger soit tant peu l'ordre établi crée une culture du conformisme. Nous ne voulons pas offusquer personne, seulement prendre une position ferme. Bonne journée!

Utilizamos la palabra “Fuck” en nuestro slogan “Fuck vinyl” con el propósito de denunciar la sobreabundancia del vinyl (plástico) que esta casi completamente remplazando el hermoso arte popular, en este caso, el rótulismo, y también porque forma parte de nuestra visión como dúo artístico, que es hacer todo a mano justamente para dar una calidad humana al paisaje contemporáneo. Al mismo tiempo es mucho más saludable para el medio ambiente. Denunciamos la cultura de lo desechable, lo hecho rápido y sin calidad, que es un reflejo perfecto de nuestra sociedad, donde la paciencia y la atención a los detalles ya casi no existen. Los reinados de homogeneidad y el miedo a incomodar el supuesto “orden” hipócrita establecido, crea una cultura de conformismo. No queremos ofender a nadie, simplemente queremos tomar una posición firme. Buen día !
