I made warcross characters in Tomodachi Life, here's what's happened so far

I made Jax and Emika first after making all of my friends. Jax immediately fell for Emika

They started talking

Made Roshan and Tremaine next, they talked and then they both began having feelings for each other

My friend K met Tremaine and Tremaine almost caught feelings for him instead but I told him to choose Roshan.

Emika and Jax started going out

I made Hammie and Asher and they became friends

Right as they were getting to the "Ready to risk it all stage" Roshan told Tremaine a boring story about a pearl and Tremaine fell asleep AND SAID HE LOST FEELINGS I WAS SO PISSED

Emika proposed to Jax but it was my first Mii proposal so I lost all of my lives but luckily Jax came in clutch, so now they're married and Hideo sang at their wedding. I screamed

I made Roshan and Tremaine interact every second until he regained feelings because what the fuck

I made Hideo and Sasuke next, they moved in together

Hammie and Asher got together

Hideo tried to move in with Emika and Jax and I said no because holy homewrecker behavior

Tremaine regained feelings and Roshan confessed to him. While he was confessing K stepped in and tried to steal Tremaine away but he chose Roshan

Roshan and Tremaine got married eventually and K sang at their wedding

I made Ziggy and Yuebin and, while I wasn't going to try to get them together because I don't see them like that in canon, they did end up together

While Yuebin was confessing to Ziggy my mii and the mii I made of KATHLEEN HANNA TRIED TO GET WITH ZIGGY??? She chose Yuebin

K gained a crush on Yuebin after him and Ziggy got together because I guess his whole character is homewrecking???

I was in it for the drama though so I made K interact with Yuebin and Ziggy all the time to see what would happen, until he had a cutscene where he realized that Yuebin and Ziggy were together.

Not even 3 minutes later K decides to confess to Yuebin. Like I said, he's a homewrecker. But Yuebin held strong and stayed with Ziggy. K was HEARTBROKEN but that's what you get for homewrecking

Nearly all of them have discussed scissoring before bed at least twice.

Ziggy and Yuebin got married. Yuebin was thinking of K during the proposal.

Roshan and Tremaine are soulmates now

Sasuke and Jax stargazed a couple of times

That's about it, this game is crazy and I'm here for it. I also made Captain Clark from the backrooms movie (sidenote that movie is so peak and idc what anyone says, kane parson's lore is so awesome)

I was rereading Warcross and noticed that there's some subtle foreshadowing in how Tremaine is described as a player by Roshan early on in the book as someone who wears "many faces" and is "fluid enough to pull an uncharacteristic move," kinda anticipating Emika's shock at how Tremaine was actually involved with the bounty the whole time in the sense that she didn't expect him to be capable or willing to take part in things she was secretly doing, thus it being an uncharacteristic move from her perspective. Marie is so good with things like this!

OH MY GOD. I NEVER NOTICED THAT BEFORE??? EVEN AS IM READING WARCROSS. I never thought of his words like that, thats so crazy

God I love her foreshadowing so much, you never notice it until you reread her books and the realization hits you like a train

Tremaine’s near-death was foreshadowed in the beginning of Chapter 15 in Emika’s dream, although that one is more obvious I think

There’s one quote that I have written down in my notes app on my phone that was something along the lines of “hideo’s body guards obey him, as if they were machines” like two pages before the algorithm mind control stuff was revealed

Warcross isn’t perfect but it’s stuff like this that makes it worth rereading over and over, I love it so much

I made a fake newspaper spread that takes place in the Warcross world

Did I do this all today with my deadline in two hours with an essay also due at the same time for the same class? Absolutely. Do I seriously need to lock in on fixing my mess of a first body paragraph? Indubitably. I hope you enjoy my little foreshadowy fake newspaper that I put my journalistic skills to use on

Man, Hideo and Emika would have actually been such a genuinely sweet couple if not for Hideo becoming so corrupted by his power over the NeuroLink. I just got past the onsen chapter and I really like him in this part of the book, I wish he didn’t turn out the way he did.

Speaking of, watching him slowly go against everything he said he stood for during the events of Wildcard is actually really interesting to read. He starts off saying how he has no control over who the algorithm “fixes” and that it’s unbiased. But then he starts letting his close friends be the exception to that. Then politicians and people in power. Then it all builds up to him killing Taylor with it. It’s been a long day so I might come back to this with a more in-depth explanation (or if someone else gets what im saying enough to add on please go ahead) but I know this definitely ties in to real life in some way, I just cant find a real life example right now.
