Exhibition Match of the Vytal Festival PT. 2
The fight logo appeared on the screen as team ELTE charges at Shade while he only stood his ground and analyzed their potential attack pattern. The tank and heavy hitter charges in from both sides as the support and ranged aimed for his front. A clever attack that if Shade dodges from all side he will immediately get hit. His only option was up, he immediately changes his long swords into two concussion cannons as he hits the ground causing a wave of force to bursts from them elavating him into the air. The hitter and tank dodged the Shockwave of Shade’s cannon as the ranged immediately takes aim at Shade but once she had him in her sight he was already pointing the concussion cannons at the ranged and support. Blasting a torrent of heatwaves at them, prior to battle he had already a cannister of red dust in his intake thus having both attack and defense infused with the dust element. The flame affected the support as he element of ice could not stand the heat but the ranged took little effect as she has an advantage on flame attacks, she fired a concentrated beam at Shade as he blocks it with his arm guards causing his health to go down a bit.
The other two was prepared as Shade fell down after taking a blocked hit from the ranged, little did they know he changed his weapon to a machin gun like barrel on his arm guards and started pelting the 2 with consecutive bursts of fire. His intake however started beeping as he exhausted the red dust from his cannister. Landing a bit farther from the two melee he changed his cannister in blinding speed. He exchanged the cannister with an ground based dust of brown. His helmet changed according to the brown dust that complimented the sheer endurance of the earth. He slammed his weapons as they changed into a Lance like weapon. He charges for the tank and dodges the hitter in the process. The tank was too overconfident of his over layered aura that he took the brunt of the attack with a smile. Shade expected this to happen as he digs in deep in his aura and activated a tremor like effect that broke his 2 of his 4 layered aura. He reacted to this as he grabbed Shade from his neck and threw him across the field as he hits a boulder that was on the mountenous terrain.
Taking into account that he broke the T’s 4 layered aura (ELTE Leader, L, T, and E for no confusion to who I am identifying.) His intake starts beeping as such attack drained him of the brown dust. He quickly changes into his cannister with a violet dust, the same process happened his attacks, defense, and gasmask changed according to the dust. ELTE soon caught on as they regrouped. They plan on doing a fake attack to get Shade to turn around as they damage the intake so that he could no longer change his attacks. Shade did not realize that they caught on immediately as he changed his weapon into a dual barreled cannon and started firing at the group. His height advantage, being atop the mountain, was a small advantage but ELTE took this opportunity to flank him. L cloaked along with her beam rifle to have a better position to fire at his intake while T and the Leader charges in as a distraction going through Shade’s right flank while the E rained arrows in front of him. This was a brilliant strategy that Shade did not caught on immediately. He kept his from and right side guarded but his left was not. L aimed for his intake as he was distracted by T and the leader, a sharp concentrated fire suddenly blasted from Shade’s left flank, the beam hits directly at his intake. He suddenly winced at the attack as he looks to his left to see L lining up another shot, Shade was ready to dodge but an arrow hits him directly on his right shoulder and the two powerhouse attack him as he flies off to the middle of the field. His health was almost depleted as he struggles to get up. Team ELTE mockingly went to their respected element as they slowly walk up to him to deal the finishing blow.
The crowd was quite rowdy during the fight as they themselves determined that team ELTE from atlas would win. Even his fellow students could not see that this fight belonged to Atlas. They all fall silent as Shade was knocked into the middle and awaited, not a defeat, but an execution.
He slowly gets up as he looks at the four slowly approaching him. He was very reluctant and battered as he had a limited amount of dust to breath in. He had no choice but to unleash.. That.. In a desperate move he changes his weapons into a missile pods that fires 24 small rockets into the air, it did not hit the members of ELTE, instead the small rockets hits all four areas with 6 rockets each. They suddenly formed into small filters that starts spouting out the 4 basic dust elements that are refined on the spot. Team ELTE grew power from this but it slowly went back to normal as the refined dust all converged on Shade. He takes off the nozzle that connected him and the intake as he takes the mixture of dust into his system. The crowd was all in awe as they saw him take the dust into him, even those in the faculty balcony were astounded except Ozpin as he gave a small “hmmmmm” as he observed such feat.
Gathering as much dust, Shade’s power grew even more. All his protection, arm and shin guards, and the small chest plate, started forming a proper combat armor that protected his entire body. As each limb of armor has highlights of the 4 elements as they changed into white. A cape made up of refined dust formed into his back, and his gasmask plated itself with refined dust. As if in a journey to slay a beast unmeasurable, Shade turned into a knight. Without the restriction of dust usage he formed a large spike on right hand that immediately retracted back, and his left arm turned into a 4 barreled machine gun. Team ELTE were stunned by such feat but their arrogance made them attack him immediately. Shade saw such actions and swiftly dodges their attacks as he starts firing at them. Each time the bullet hit the effects were different. One bullet fired exploded, another bullet hit as it freezes the target. Each bullet was now infused with a different mixture of dust, ranging from the 4 basic elements to the branching dust elements. Shade still had a small grasp of health as he kept dodging their attacks and retaliating with machine gun fire while his right hand appeared to be charging as small white highlights starts illuminating. The crowd cheered to such feet that even they could not believe what they are seeing as if a boxer who is losing finally starts to have his second wind and ruthlessly fight back. Individual attacks from team ELTE had no effect as they grouped up again to make a final push to his health as they charge at him as a group. The moment they charged the small highlights on Shade’s right arm finally fills up, he moves back his right arm a bit as if he was giving a hard straight punch, he unleashed his arm forward as the team closed in on him. Time seemed to have slowed in the stadium as if they were stuck inside a void, the spike that was etracted slowly emerges, like a bunker buster spike that pierces a hole into a steel bunker, it gave out its power. As if a dragon’s head formed from the dust attack that swallows the team and pushes them into the boundary of the field depleting their health instantaneously.
They were out. The lone student won the exhibition match. The crowd was silent when suddenly a lone clap comes from the crowd as they slowly starts to join in, the once silent stadium was now roaring with applause to such match. Shade was beaten and tired in his knight like armor as he looks up and sees the crowd cheering at him. He panned his head across as he looks towards the exit, he spins around giving his dust cape a regal effect as he slowly walks to the exit. Without looking back he raised his clenched right arm and formed an L as his Cape slowly disperses into the air like colorful snowflakes that disappear slowly.
