Real quick, expanding on what you said on your opinion of steggy & how endgame is so out of character: is it just me, or did endgame not.... feel like an mcu movie? It was so oddly detached for me lmao

I feel exactly the same way.

The movie was just so completely different from all the other MCU movies that it didn't even feel like it belonged in the same universe (it would honestly make more sense if it took place in an alternate universe). It just seemed like they tried to cram too much into a 3 hour movie and completely change characters and have huge characterization changes for multiple major characters all happen over the course of 3 hours and it just felt odd.

I completely agree that it doesn't really feel like a marvel movie and I think that that's why it was so easy for me to ignore it (Steve in particular seemed particularly ooc but I digress). Idk it just didn't feel like I was watching a movie about my favorite characters, just a bunch of alternate versions of them lol 🤷

How was Steve Rogers freely living his life during Endgame? He was a war criminal as at the end of CACW, and in IW too. How did he just do therapy sessions and just be free when he is a war criminal? Was her pardoned or something? Did I miss something important??

honestly, at that point, after half the population disappeared into thin air, i think there were other things to worry about than the accords and whether or not captain america is going into other countries without a visa.

plus, clint was supposed to be on house arrest and he ditched the ankle monitor to go on a murder spree after the snap, so like. at that point it literally didn’t matter anymore.

Still so mad about Steve running up instead of Rhodey. Aside from the fact that of course it should've been Rhodey, Tony's BEST FRIEND, *how* in a movie FULL of homages to past Marvel movies did they fail to do the perfect parallel to Tony coming home from Afghanistan? Also Steve should've known better than to just assume Tony would want to see him first out of everybody when he's in a traumatized state, after they way they left things in CW. The whole movie did Tony & Rhodey's friendship dirty.

a few days ago i had a dream about how after endgame (no death no pain only 1 new prosthetic arm but still a happy iron fam) peter accidently calls tony ''you are my fav superhero arm man.... i mean iron arm i mean iron man!!'' and i laughted so hard i woke up so yaeh

they're really wasting all the bonus features trying to justify the mess they made of steve, huh?

they really spent two months putting together what they think is a feasible and reasonable explanation for that ending but we all know it’s gonna be more Bullshit that’ll make them sound even dumber and ruin the character even more. they’re really gonna do that instead of giving us bonus features on literally anything else.

You know what's more frustrating? Realizing what MI: Fallout has a better take on that then the Russo brothers. The director deleted a kissing scene because he knew it would take away from both characters involved. I wish the Russos could understand their franchise and characters to that level but oh well

they got too arrogant with their past success and thought they were invincible and then went on and made The Dumbest Decisions.

Let’s be real — the russos didn’t choose 2012 over asgard for nostalgia. They chose 2012 so they could cram in as much Cap fanservice as they could in their Gary Stu’s last movie.
