scottish powerviolence & a great many handstand attempts. endless swarm, photographed by me on october 2nd 2025 at the rat's nest.

i was so drunk by the time this band went on because my friend kept buying me drinks, it's a miracle these turned out. this show was on a random thursday above a punk bar in someone's apartment. the words "scottish power violence" were muttered at least 30 times by the frontman & crowd throughout the set. had a lovely time & bought a shirt off of these guys afterwards because they were so kind & had a tetsuo ripoff & i love tetsuo!!!!! i had a wonderful time biking home afterwards too, i'm going to be sad now that it's getting colder & i can't do that. biking home at 1am after gigs season is over i fear :( i hope all of you are doing well.

Next up: two powerviolence bands, both already featured here, Endless Swarm from Scotland with their strongest material here i think since their “Pointless Existence”, they’re mixing the usual pv elements in a really exciting way, especially the vocals are very well written. Forged represents California with five tracks here, with a significantly noisier production (thank god), and generally they’re faster and more violent than ES are, and that’s maybe why i liked them a bit more here, definitely a release worth checking out anyway. Highlights: ES - Ooze, Forged -  Pathetic
