On Day # 41 of our Great American Road Trip, this lonely camper drove to downtown Minneapolis to check out the Endless Bridge (closed on Mondays 🙄) and the rest of the downtown. Discovered the Historic Mill District. Minneapolis started out as a sawmill town on the Mississippi (that provided the current to power the mills) because of the logging upstate. Later, when farming became a serious activity on the plains, the grain was sent to Minneapolis, because the Mississippi also provided current for the new flour mills. Many of those have gone, but the remaining buildings are being turned into apartments. Gentrification looks just great here. #travelswithscooby #minneapolis #endlessbridge #milldistrictmpls (at Downtown Minneapolis) https://www.instagram.com/p/CguyaLvJiCu/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
