It really is
It has all the ingredients of a good anime. The only way it can fuck up is how the story is going to turn out but so far, so good
What J-Live albums would you recommend my man?
J-Live is one of those artists to me who isn’t really capable of ever putting out a bad album or being corny/wack, but that’s because he’s never really switched his style up all that much. After a while you pretty much know exactly what you’re going to get when you listen to a J-Live album. The Best Part and All Of The Above are two of my favorite hip hop albums ever so i definitely recommend those. I consider both of those to be classics. After that he did have a period where he was putting out some stuff that wasn’t really AS impressive but was still pretty decent, but then he dropped S.P.T.A. (Said Person of That Ability) a few years back. To me, that’s probably his best album overall and could be considered a “comeback”, even though he never lost it to begin with. He just seemed really motivated to prove himself again and it was incredible to hear that from someone who has been in the game for as long as he has. Plus there’s a ton of great features on that album (and the Undivided Attention EP he dropped in preparation for the S.P.T.A album) like Boog Brown, Homeboy Sandman, YC The Cynic, and John Robinson who you’re probably already familiar with. Around The Sun is a solid album but it DID get a little stale for me after listening to it over and over aside from maybe 5 tracks that i always find myself going back to. Homeboy Sandman also probably had the best verse on that entire album. Overall, I still really enjoyed it though and it’s still worth checking out if you haven’t heard it already. Definitely get the other three though for sure.
