did joel always want to go intro construction when he was younger ,or was there something else?

As we hear in the game Joel used to want to be a singer. How serious about he was has yet to be seen, but at one point in his life I could see him trying to get his name out there by performing at local places. That was simply when he was a teen though. Things got much more strict when Sarah was born and he had to get a ‘real job’ as his parents put it. Construction was nowhere on the radar and he certainly wouldn’t have chosen it if he had any other choice. Joel is a live in the moment kind of guy and i don’t think he put too much stock into a career much past music.

who taught joel how to play guitar?

For the most part he’s self taught with some influences by one of the kids in one of the many foster homes his brother and he frequented.  It started off as a hobby but the more he played the more ENTHRALLED he became with the music and playing. He picked up books and anything he could find that would teach him how to play chords and what the best techniques were. He’ll always be in debt to the boy that helped him along the way.

what was his childhood like? what about his parents?

His parents weren’t great individuals all around. When they were at home their father was a belligerent drunk which made the brother spend a majority of time in one of their rooms together. For the most part their parents were in and out of jail for numerous drug charges which left the brothers to bounce around from foster home to foster home. It was lucky if they caught a couple who actually cared, but for the most part Joel raised Tommy for all intents and purposes. At times he was a bit harder on Tommy for certain things he would do himself, but Joel did the best he could even if Tommy might resent him for it. The mentality was ‘Do as I say. Not as I do.’ Joel wanted Tommy to become more than anything any of his family ever dreamed of. In the end all they had was each other

Her portrayal skills for any character knows no bounds and i die when she replies to our threads. So much awesome in this person everyone needs to follow!!! <3 I LOVE YOU

@helosther -- I have followed Spark all over tarnation and will continue to do so! I love how much she has dived into Sarah’s character and made her own. Not to mention she’s stuck around for the long haul and developed her so very well its astonishing. I don’t even know how long we’ve been following her but I’ve not regretted it one bit. You are one of the best people with a heck of a writing talent. THANKYOU

@wisenedup -- ZEKE. You are something else i swear. You have cannon balled into Bill’s character and thought of so many headcanons that i never even consider. Your dedication is definitely something to be desired and you’ve taken this character and certainly made it your own. :)
