Chapter Two

You watch as his eyes angrily pierce into yours. You could feel his warm breath blowing on your skin. What was he going to do to you? your body was trembling with fear but you refused to let him do this to you. “How dare you talk to me that way!” You stand up taller and your face is closer to his, your unexpected outburst startling Loki. “Just because I work for you does not mean you own me. You can not control me!” You spit. loki watched with amaze at the small girl in front of him being so threatening. This was new. You angrily charge past him and exit his room. You look once behind you, he isn’t following. You were safe. You pace towards your room feeling a rush of adrenaline. You had never yelled at loki or any other member in the kingdom. It was about time someone other then his mommy puts him in his place. “I just yelled at loki” you say. Your heart was racing now, anxiety now overtaking the adrenaline. It was all sinking in now that you were in your quarters. You slide your back against the door and hold your knees to your chest.
“Fuck!” You whimper. Fuck fuck fuck! What we’re you thinking? “He’s going to kill me” you cry. Your chest tightened, your throat felt like it was closing, you were gasping for air. You were having a panic attack. Thoughts cloud your mind. Would loki be more aggressive when you saw him next? Will he avoid you or purposely stalk you? How was he going to act now? Would he make up a lie and hurt you? Get you in trouble with Odin and Frigga? Would he kill me? If anything like that happened would they make you leave? Where would you go? Your life would be ruined! Your vision around you was blurry you needed this feeling to stop immediately. You slide your hand up the door and flick the lock. Okay you were safe in your room. You place a hand on your heart and with a staggery breath you try to slow and control your breathing. ‘Frigga won’t let anything happen to you’ you tell yourself over and over. She was like an Aunty to you after your mothers passing. You knew she loves you and Odin respected you. “I am in control” I reassure myself.
I feel my heart slow down and I start to feel a sense of ease. You were safe. You take a long deep breath in and notice your feeling sleepy. Maybe a nap would fix everything. Curling up in your bed, tight under the sheets. You just needed to escape for a while. You were hurt and angry. Of course loki was back and you had to be his maid. You were a maid for years but serving HIM made you feel dirty, less, nothing. Your chest sinks as each bad thought dances in your head. You hug your pillow tight and soon your eyes drift into a deep slumber.
You wake in your bed, it’s dark. What time was it? You try looking around but your digital clock isn’t on. That’s odd. You were in complete darkness. But suddenly your door opens, golden light beaming in your room and you gasp. You were completely in shock of who was in front of your eyes your body trembling. You slowly open your mouth “Wh-what are you doing here?”
