This minty turmeric ginger lemonade is a great drink for hot summer days because it's cool and energizing. Adding fresh lemon juice, grated turmeric, and ginger together makes for a bright and sour taste. Maple syrup gives it a touch of sweetness. Fresh mint leaves add a cool and refreshing touch to the end of this tasty drink.
Ingredients: 4 cups water. 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice. 2 tablespoons maple syrup. 1 tablespoon fresh turmeric, grated. 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated. 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves. Ice cubes. Lemon slices and mint sprigs for garnish.
Instructions: Water, lemon juice, maple syrup, grated ginger and turmeric should all be mixed together in a pitcher. Mix things together well. Put fresh mint leaves in the pitcher and use a wooden spoon to break up the leaves a bit so that their flavor comes out. The flavors will blend better if you put the mixture in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. Pour the strained lemonade into glasses that have been filled with ice cubes. Add a lemon slice and a mint sprig to the top of each glass. Serve right away and enjoy!
