Miracle boxes started forming since the creation of the miraculous. There have been several attempts at making boxes correspond to astrology and other themes but these ideas didn’t last for long. Duos used to be inside the boxes as a sort of leaders but were separated into their own boxes and put under watch by the Order of Guardians. There was always only one duo box per temple.
Luxx is calm although a bit chaotic kwami. He prioritizes someone’s happiness and mental health over responsibilities. He’s very loyal and gets deeply attached to his holders and resents anyone who hurts the ones he cares about. He doesn’t like dark and moist places but tries to stay positive.
Powers:
Brilliance- Summons a beam of light with explosive properties. Experienced users can shape this to their liking.
Shining Armor- Covers the holder with blinding light, which makes them invincible.
Gold Rush- Allows the user to travel through light. Does not work in dark areas.
Lionheart- The Cure.

He is warm to the touch.
He literally glows when he’s happy.
He likes to refer to himself as Illumination rather than Emission. He thinks it's easier to understand.
Grimm is bold and can be mischievous at times. She mostly prefers to be alone but doesn’t mind company as long as she isn’t overwhelmed. She doesn’t like bright-lit places.
Powers:
Overshadow- Summons a black substance with erasing properties. Experienced users can shape this to their liking.
Eclipse- Rids the area of light. Experienced holders can get rid of other elements.
Void- Allows the holder to travel through shadows.
The last formed duo box. After their separation from the other kwamis they've grown quite bitter towards each other. They used to be in the Elemental box.
If gimmi is the kwami of reality, you Will change your kwami of reality?
No. Deed isn't kwami of Reality, he's more like order or absence of magic.
A longer explanation that is also kinda irrelevant under the cut xd.
The kwami concepts are what the Order thought would fit them the best so they don't really matter. But anyway, the duos are the pillars of the universe, without them the universe would collapse and cease to exist.
Luxx and Grimm are actually energy and the absence of energy. Luxx is just called Illumination because the manifestation of the energy looks like light. For Deprivation, my thought process behind that was when Luxx's miraculous is broken his holders become sensitive to everything, and sensory deprivation tanks would help with the hearing and vision part of it.
Tikki and Plagg are easy, Creation and Destruction of an object.
Now, Deed and Imaa. My best option for them is order and chaos. I was also thinking of life for Imaa because of Animate, but it didn't really fit for Deed. They could also be magic and absence of magic but that is basically just chaos and order written longer xd.
These six (and the entire universe) cannot exist without each other. They are the opposites of each other. Tikki, Luxx, and Deed on one side and Plagg, Grimm, and Imaa on the other.
So I have been thinking about the first layer duos. A lot. And I basically simplified them for me, everything is still canon I just changed my thinking about them a little.
Basically Tikki, Luxx, and Imaa are kwamis of something while Plagg, Grimm, and Deed are kwamis of nothing.
So, the Matter duo is the physical part of the universe. So Tikki is Space and Plagg is Void.
The Energy duo is the energy/force part. Luxx is Energy and Grimm is the Absence of Energy (could be called Void I guess).
The Existence duo? No idea! They're kinda in the middle I guess??? But that honestly defeats their purpose to be a first layer, since they need to be an essential part of the universe to be first layers, but I'm too attached to the idea of them being first layers. I have been struggling to actually know what they are since their entire existence, I think. I thought of two options, Chaos+Order and Magic+Absence of Magic. But I don't like those. They don't seem that important to me... Another quick idea I had was that they could substitute for the life part since that's what Imaa's power used to be. I removed it thought, I didn't like the implications and it was kinda hypocritical of me in the first place. I just clearly haven't thought enough about that one. Or this duo. lol
Since I'm talking about Life and Death, I feel kinda icky about actually having Life and Death kwamis. Or at least them having a miraculous. I guess not all kwamis need to be bound to miraculous...
But anyway, I don't think I would be having this conflict if I wasn't thinking about the concept of domains but idk
If I make the kwamis of the mental part of the universe (basically Life and Death) canon, I would choose one of these animals
Something (Life ): octopus, stork, hamster/capybara/maybe the koala, change the betta fish
Nothing (Death): shark, vulture, gorilla, hyena
I'm not sure whether I should actually make them canon, it would make sense but if I do, even if they're not bound to a miraculous.
Like the universe is made of 4 components, physical, mental, energy, and structural (I think I'm gonna go with the Chaos and Order with the Existence duo)
But that would mean I would probably have to completely get rid of the concept of domains unless I actually thought of the powers, which I have absolutely no idea what I should give them, not even one (maybe the one to create a life, like Imaa's scrapped power but then I wouldn't have a parallel for the Death, I try to have the duos parallel, and I also don't like that power...)
I think I'd call them the Cycle duo since kwamis' birthdays are called cycles
