Re: chapter 97:
There's a lot of interesting developments taking place, but Engendale being sent to Adanlee is possibly the most interesting to me, despite it being only mentioned offhand. A former Wise, whose entire deal was foreign relations and diplomacy with heads of state, had his memories entirely wiped of magic, then found himself shipped off to a place nicknamed the Isle of Oblivion. (A place that gets regularly mentioned, for... reasons...)
Surely he must've had tremendous power and connections in witch society, and undoubtedly within the Brims, but seemingly no one lifted a hand to work out a deal or stage a coup to wrest him away from the Knights before his sentence was carried out. Vinanna, who was likely colleagues with him for years, barely batted an eye. I guess this could speak to the idea of no one giving a shit about him (he did seem v unlikeable), but maybe it's just another example of how coldly efficient "justice" is done in the realm of witches.
Anyway, Luluci girl, defect
Also massive hiring upgrade in the form of Lagrah
Brimmed Cap Witches
Engendale getting thrown off a cliff (by Qifrey, w background Coco)
Took a bit of liberty with this one
Honestly, I feel like Witch Hat Atelier would still be fine if Iguin had recruited Custas, not Ininia, and Engendale had picked up a random witch instead of the peeping tom.
