Once again(It's happened before in the previous years), the two educational concepts(What are the two educational concepts?) and practices(How are they practicing these concepts?) under analysis(Why are they under analysis? Find out why.) come into conflict(What's conflicting? What is different about them? Why do they butt heads? What is so bad about them being different? What is the base line/what is the normal? Is there one?). Banking education (for obvious reasons)(Why is it obvious? Where in the previous text makes this obvious?) attempts(Trying multiple times without a final result), by mythicizing reality(Mythicizing reality: Portraying reality as a myth and treating it like it's out of reach.) ; to conceal(To hide) certain facts(Why would you hide these facts? What is the purpose of this?) which explain the way human beings exist(Why would you need to hide facts in which explain how we exist?) (We deserve to know if we are alive it's our right. OPINION) in the world(Now is this just the educated world? The only ones who can be educated or the entire world? Regardless of education or not?); problem-posing education(What is problem-posing education?) sets itself(Creates it's own) the task(Objective at hand) of demythologizing(Demythologizing: Taking what is thought of as a myth and bringing it back to reality.). Banking education(Like a bank, education is deposited into the recipient but nothing is really gained, it's just given back when asked to. You have $20 and you give to someone because they asked for it, you don't know what they will do with it but you've given them the means to do what they want. So giving them the $20 does not give them what the want or need but a way to achieve that. When we want that $20 back we ask for it and instead of getting something better than the same $20 you have given you receive the same $20. Nothing of higher value was exchanged, it was simply moved from one to another and back again. The same concept goes for knowledge and education. When you learn something you aren't asked to apply it to anything of higher value but are only asked to give it back the same way you have received it.) resists dialogue(Doesn't take talking amongst them selves) ; problem-posing education regards(Respects it as it is there) dialogue as indispensable(Extremely desirable or useful, or not to be done without.) to the act of cognition(Knowledge acquired through reasoning, intuition, or perception.) which unveils reality(To unveil reality is to expose something secret that is being kept from us about reality.). Banking education treats students as objects of assistance(Why are we the objects of assistance if we aren't going to apply it to anything and just give it back?); problem-posing education makes(Are they forcing us or are we given an option to go at our own pace, critical or not?) them critical(Essential) thinkers(Is it really absolutely necessary for the success of something?). Banking education inhibits(To stop something from continuing or developing) creativity and domesticates(To tame in their own rules and way of thinking/living) (although it cannot completely destroy) the intentionality(Deliberate, done on purpose) of consciousness(The state of being awake and aware of what is going on around you.) by isolating consciousness(Taking away our own thoughts and conforming us to what we are being told) from the world, thereby denying people their ontological(Study of existence, the most general branch of meta physics, concerned with the nature of being.) and historical vocation(The urge to follow a specific career, a strong feeling of being destined or called to undertake a specific type of work.) of becoming more fully human(We are always progressing and will always strive to discover everything there is to know about being fully human.). Problem-posing education bases itself(Everything that is done originates and is branched off of creativity.) on creativity(Why not concrete reasoning? How do we know creativity is right?) and stimulates(To intentionally cause a reaction) true reflection(Careful thought, especially the process of reconsidering previous actions, events, or decisions.) and action upon reality(Trying to see how we react in reality when stimulated to do so.); thereby responding to the vocation of persons as beings(So we are not only people on our own but we are connected as one being when engaged together?) who are authentic only when engaged(Why is it only authentic when we are engaged? Can we not do this on our own?) in inquiry and creative transformation(Making the learning process come from the student, learning through what we feel is right and what we portray to be right through others and not just what we are told is the right way.). In sum(In conclusion these are the main points to think about.): banking theory and practice, as immobilizing(To restrict movement of somebody or something) and fixating(To focus exclusively on something) forces, fail to acknowledge(To see us as our own creative starting point.) men and women as historical beings(Taking what we feel is right and replacing it with what we are told is right which usually will conflict); problem-posing theory(Why is this referred to as a theory now? It wasn't referred to as a theory in the previous text. Is this not real?) and practice take the people's historicity as their starting point.(By starting at what we feel is right and branching off and learning how we were built to learn will be more productive in my opinion. We can only learn and put it to use in a productive way by working with our brain to see things that make sense and not erasing it all to start over how someone want us to start learning.)(Maybe some of us are truly smarter than we realize we have just been held back because we aren't learning at a creative aspect but more of a step process where we are required to learn at a certain rate and a certain way that is unfamiliar at first?)
