SEPTEMBERFEST

This month started with a bang, and it was expected to be exciting, since this month was going to be musical or symphonic, and our expectations have been fulfilled extremely, and we just really enjoyed this month. We also had our experiences on our field trip outside Nissi, but that’s another story for another time.

Now, on to the preparations, at first we had to actually try to determine our soloist, since we had no one, and we make a compromise, by showing our ability or just our effort to sing to some of our favorite songs. Luckily none of us were chosen, which was relieving yet a bit disappointed, but just for a while. Finally we got our compromise, and our fellow classmate Ralph Resma was chosen our soloist representing our grade level, and by the time he had performed his song, we were just in awe as we heard his soothing voice singing through the microphone

Next were our band, and the band in our grade level, has just made us astonished on the capabilities, and the fun that our grade level can exert even if it’s not just music, but back to the band our band had clearly the large capability to rock out, and to enjoy towards the crowd, and by the looks of our final presentation, they just exceeded our expectations as to what we had thought to get, and at the end it was very memorable to our views.

At the end, we were followed up by the announcements of our winners, and we got 2nd place for our band, which was awesome since we had the capability to have a very decent band in our grade level, and it did mean a lot to us, for our reputation in the whole institution. Unfortunately our soloist did not get any reward received, but Ralph is still a winner in our books.

At the end, although all of our efforts, perseverance, cheers, sweat and laughs in this musical and symphonic journey, all we had to say is that we enjoyed this month, and the bang that started this month, it just pierced in our memories, and gave us a time and memory that was unforgettable.

COOKFEST

Being on the beginning on this blog is our experiences in July, which had the Nutrition Month, which in this year also has the very catchy slogan quoted, "Healthy diet, gawing habit for life!", and I do think that is somewhat of a very reasonable slogan, especially for us Millennial. Although most of us were just catching up, and trying for us to get used to school now, we did mostly enjoy our activities in this month.

Now, Nutrition Month was like the event in which our diet and healthy eating habits must be emphasized in order for us to actually live better and longer lives, and I guess it did gave us the impact on our habits of eating.

Now our major activity, or like our most awaited activity in this month was our Cookfest in which we had to cook dishes for the judges, teachers, and also some for our parents, now, at this activity we did have the decision to actually choose, what nationality or the type of cuisine he have to serve, and we chose Filipino cuisine, since it was easier for us, and we also had a good amount of dishes we actually know how to cook.

Although, we did have the chance of our choice of cuisine, we did not win the whole competition, instead it was Grade 8 Faith, and we would say that they did deserve the award, since they had the most appealing setup, and service for their panel. Which was the dining with the music one though (We cannot describe it that well though, sorry).

Although there may be this large event in this moth, we also have to mention two events that occurred at that month too. First we have the Bulletin Board, in which the victor was the Grade 8 Hope, and we still agree on how the whole setup looked like too, it was very creative in our perspectives. Lastly was the cleanest classroom even, in which our Grade won, and we just felt really great on ourselves, but we still do have to redeem that title until the end of the school year.

Now, all of these activities may be great and special for all, and we did learn a lot from them, from maintaining out title, and to accepting our defeat our main objective in these activities, is to have fun and make memories with our fellow classmates, schoolmates, teachers, and to everyone in the institution

FIELD TRIP

This month also got a special event, or happening which was going to be great for us students, since we got out of our chairs, and venture off outside Nissi, and we head on to the field trip.

Now, field trip was one of those times in school in which students, can get some freash air, relax a bit, see new places, and to learn a lot, to actually make them rested, yet educated still.

Okay, now we shall start about our journey. Now we went first in San Carlos Talamban, which had the biology museum, which was small, compared to the other destinations we had to go, but still we did have learned a bit on what’s in our world and the creatures living inside it, there were some scary, dangerous, and cute ones to be seen. Next was our stop of Robinsons Galleria, which had the mobile science museum, and it was still great, learning about technology, and some sciences towards the capabilities and the improvements towards our life with technology, but there was one star of the show and that was the ‘Electric Chain Reaction Machine’, and it was just shocking, literally. We just got hurt, yet our minds blown at the same time at the experience.

Next was Casa Gorordo, and it was nice learning more about the old households during the era, in which the Spaniards had invaded our province, and I also learned that old furniture was very unique, and it had a lot of rooms. Last stop of our trip, was Miracle Art, which showed, and tested our perception, and it was also the best place to take pictures there. Although from all of the fun we got, we also got a problem. There was an incident in which the paintings and other spots found in Miracle Art, were starting to deteriorate or chip off, and the making of those spots are very costly, and us the students have to face the consequences we have to face in this problem we have made.

At the end, sometimes experiences, either good or bad, beautiful or ugly, small or big, we do have to think too with caution, but also still fun in those experience we are going to experience sooner.

BUWAN NG WIKA

This was the main or the star subject or event that will be happening in the whole month of August, and since our Filipino teacher is new, and is very enjoyable, we do have to also give a good job in this month too, especially on her subject. Although we have to leave the minor activities like our Story and Poem Making, or as in Tagalog “Maggawa ng Maikilng kwento, at Tula.” Which by the way, was just maybe something minor to get our brains just a bit more vast an filled in ideas though, so it maybe just something short, these two activities may also be something to make our thoughts gear up in this month.

Now, Buwan ng Wika, is one of this celebrations in which us Filipinos have to cherish, of just becoming ourselves, and to actually have the pride to express, or to show that we are truly Filipinos, even though that the main reason why we had this celebration, is just the celebration of our Filipino language.

At this time though, we have to scratch that, and lets us all talk about the two major activities in this month, which were the Sayaw at Dulaan, Laro ng Lahi and our Tabo sa Banay. First we had our Sayaw at Dulaan, which in by the way was a bit surprising as it sounds, it’s even greater, if you may have found any secret talent you may have hiding, but long story short, the 1st Group won, and the others just took on to their defeats.

Next was our event on Laro ng Lahi, and we can only say that is was so memorable, and enjoyable. Since there we just a lot of activities, and competitions, which just made us burst our adrenaline, and hop in. There were some few great ones, like the Taong Dota, in which it just left us really soaking wet, even though that we did get 2nd place, but still the memorable part is our experiences, not our winnings and accomplishments.

Lastly was our Tabo sa Banay, which was just a bit common in Nissi. We don’t have anything to tell about this event, since it’s really common in Nissi, that we just need the whole event or some pictures to explain themselves.

Overall, this event was mostly or just having the main subject our Filipino subject. This event has also made us view that our country’s language, may not also be the most important thing as Filipinos, but rather our culture and our pride, for embracing our Pinoy blood.
