IN-SR150, 8” x 8”. Engraved acylic, white LED lights, salvaged wallpaper, reclaimed wood frame, silkscreen. When I lived in Bloomington I would travel back home to Louisville on Indiana SR-150. I passed a beautiful abandoned cottage every time for years until last fall, when I decided to stop and explore it. Most of the house was dilapidated and filled with trash, but elements of a past life still remained in the deteriorating shell. (This is formal documentation of the work I completed during my year-long residency at 40th Street AiR in Philadelphia. The work was included in my exit show, The Past Is Over (June 2013), which showcased pieces made using a laser engraver, found/salvaged materials, and traditional printmaking processes.)
