and i know it’s far from canon but the idea of snippy and gromov dating before the apocalypse and ending on a bad note, but then meeting again post-apocalypse and slowly falling in love with each other again sounds so so nice.

An AU in which Gromov finds Snippy before Captain and they become good friends (discarding all former grudges because they think they’re the only two left and it’d be lonely otherwise). They stay in the bunker together… of course it gets gay eventually. Gromov is forced to learn medical practices because Snippy keeps getting injured doing dumb shit. Snippy helps Gromov with stuff; maybe teaches him how to shoot and whatnot? 

Basically: an AU where Gromov and Snippy become really close, because that’s something we all deserve
