It is definitely Ellana.

Both her and Iwyn and pretty forward and bold, but Iwyn tends to think waiting and being patient solves everything. Her assumption is that if she just... gives everyone some time, eventually it will work out? Also she doesn’t really actually want to talk about her own feelings 50% of the time. 

Solas will talk, once he have thought things over enough, but he tends to want to work things out in his mind before he wants to talk, and will maybe try to wait until he can try and make a decision for everyone? 

Ellana on the other hand, will sigh and be straightforward in most cases. She will generally recognize there is a need to talk something over, and then she will see no reason to wait.

I have to know how they divide the housework here. Why do I imagine a lot of frustration from Anders/Justice? 😂

Though, actually... the only person people are getting frustrated with is Isabela. She’s a mess, leaving her clothes laying around and putting tasks off up until the last minute. But then, she’s also the person with the least stuff; going from her ship to their house at will. When she’s at home with them, the one task she always does is the dishes (if only for the chance to get the others wet at her convenience).

In general, though, everyone does what needs to be done, there’s no clear plan of “you do this and I do that”, even though there are some things each prefers to do. And once the kids come into the fold, everything is chaos anyway for a while :D

Adriene is the Mistress of the garden, nobody would dare to get in her way there, and takes care of what sowing needs to be done.

Fenris is their designated cook, takes care of the kitchen, and monitors their stocks on hand. He’s also meticulous in keeping all their tools sharp and ready, and loves to work with wood, so everything that needs to be repaired

Anders never stops working as a healer - first, he kept supporting the Wardens in Amaranthine, and later, he works with Cullen at his templar sanctuary. Thus, he is the one most away from the house, and when he comes home, there’s not much left to do. He helps with whatever is left to do, though, and of course their cats complain to him how horribly they were treated during the day.

I recently got myself a fandom twitter to keep things separate from my main twitter and am thinking of posting my fic updates there. Problem is I follow no fanfic writers there and don’t know the standard “format” or what a typical fanfic tweet looks like. Anyone have any tips? Suggestions? Examples? Thanks in advance!

I deleted my twitter forever ago, so I don’t know that I can be of much help myself. Hopefully the notes can provide what you need :)

(1/2) I just saw a reply to the tagging “sad fics” that made me pause stating “tag it how your readers want it”. I got into an argument with someone in a fandom who stated I shouldn’t tag a particular m/m ship when the primary pairing is f/m *when there will be explicit sex scenes between the m/m pairing*. Their logic was that only the main pairing should be tagged, because they don’t want to read 26 chapters of f/m to get to m/m. But... shouldn’t it still be labeled? For people who don’t want

(2/2) to read m/m content? They said tagging the m/m content when it’s not the “focus” makes it difficult to find fics to read and they have to scroll through things to read and INSTEAD I should be putting that pairing in the extra tags. My argument against that is it may get buried and for people who genuinely can’t read m/m content be difficult to see. What’s the preferred way to tag a fic with sex scenes from multiple pairings?

For me, it isn’t the genders (or lack thereof) of the people involved, it’s about the fact that it’s there. I’d tag it in ships because if you’re writing that much of the ship then that seems like a fair enough amount of “screen time” to justify tagging it that way. With the other ship(s) also tagged, it should be obvious they aren’t the only one in the fic. Then it’s just a matter of writing your summary in such a way that it’s clear what the fic will be about.

People who don’t want to read m/m ships (or f/m or f/f or multi) can filter out m/m stories easily enough. If it’s that much of an issue for them, they’ll be able to avoid it as long as you specify that there’s some m/m content in the Category section. 

You can also add additional tags like “Ship A is the focus” or “Ship B is a sideship in this one”. You could do that in your summary or an author’s note at the top of the fic, as well. That’s also a good option if the actual plot of your fic isn’t about shipping. 

Anyone else have thoughts?
