Perfect Fall day in Chicago enjoying an afternoon escape to #longgrove about an hour northwest of the city. Looks like the hot spots were the Buffalo Creek Brewing and the Broken Earth Winery Long Grove. The outdoor big screen showing of the Chicago Bears game drew a big crowd and live music could be heard from a group playing at Long Grove Village Tavern. We settled in at the Broken English to enjoy the guitarist singing and playing to backing tracks of 60s, 70s, 80s & 90s hits. Alan Snyder Music was quite clever & engaging with a name-that-tune style to introducing each song. The patio had gas fire pits and the audience was equally fun.
