Every now and then, you come across an artist who isn’t trying to chase trends—they’re building a world of their own.
That’s exactly how I felt when I discovered Xivo.
Based in Mexico City, Xivo is a DJ and music producer whose sound lives somewhere between the golden era of Disco and the polished production of modern Nu Disco.
But what caught my attention wasn’t just the music.
It was the consistency.
Every release, every artwork, every visual feels like part of the same story. There’s a clear vision behind the project, blending cinematic aesthetics, late-night vibes, shimmering disco balls and elegant grooves into something that feels nostalgic without sounding dated.
His debut project, Disco Fancy, is built around that idea: bringing back the spirit of Disco through a contemporary lens.
The first single, Disco in Motion, perfectly sets the tone. Warm basslines, uplifting rhythms and the kind of track that makes you want to keep driving long after you’ve reached your destination.
