Not a question, but I just want to say that I think it's awesome that you're now on Tumblr. Seeing the name of the blog just smacked me with this huge fit of nostalgia, as I went on the original EM website religiously when I first got into Utena back in 2006. Thanks for all the years of being the web's go-to source of English info on Utena. It's been a fun ride. :)

Thanks so much! If I have my way, the ride won’t stop for years yet. We don’t have as much time to update anymore, but we’re chipping away at it, and eventually we’ll have even more stuff on the site. I’m glad you remember us fondly! <3

I'm actually teaching myself Portuguese right now! :D I'm currently on plurals, articles, and numbers. Even though some of it gets tricky, especially with the pronunciation, I'm starting to get the hang of it.

ahh that’s so cool that you are teaching yourself portuguese!! are you focusing on european or brazilian portuguese??

i can understand what you mean with the pronunciation, i guess it isn’t the easiest at first esp if you compare the sounds to english, but if you’re already starting to get it i can promise you it gets much easier with time!

The Raven will always be my favorite, though that doesn’t mean that I’m doing a disservice to HCE. In fact, it’s proof that Steven Wilson is as much of a master at long-form musical storytelling as short form. A great album, for sure.

I agree, The Raven That Refused to Sing is also phenomenal. I think what gave Hand. Cannot. Erase. the edge for me was that it's a concept album. I always like a good story.

The Raven That Refused to Sing is more of a song-oriented prog rock tour de force. Hand. Cannot. Erase. is a concept album which is less of a nod to classic prog influences but no less layered or intricate. Both are great albums.

ennish ha dicho: I watched it through Netflix as soon as the second preview video came out. It’s very interesting, and the actress who plays Joyce Vincent does a good job with the role.

I just finished to watch it. I have to say that I'm shocked. What a tragic and mysterious story :(
