Please tell me about this crush? Crushes are adorable and I thrive off hearing about them.

It's a guy in my gym class. We go to the same school, but my school has two part days, and I'm an afternoon student and he's morning, so usually I don't see him much. But today I found out he's transferring into my gym class! We were on a team today, and I had a lot of fun with him. He's very witty, and kinda quirky. We went to middle school together, and I had a class with him there and had a crush on him then. After that class though I didn't get the chance to talk to him much. When I found out we ended up going to the same high school I was pretty excited. I think he's probably the longest non-reciprocated crush I've had before. I mean, I haven't had a consistent crush on him since middle school, but like, even in a non romantic way I've always thought he was really interesting. He's someone whos really hard to flirt with though...Like he's quite the odd duck so I just can't get a read on how he's feeling. I have absolutely no idea what he would do if I asked him out. I'm also having kind of a problem though because I have no idea what his sexual orientation is?? Like, I've never really seen him flirt with anyone, he just seems to be charming with everyone, but I've never really seen him in a group either..Ugh. Yeah. He's cute, and tall, and has really pretty eyes.
