♥ ✓ ✖
♥ - What does ‘love’ mean to them?
A useless, confusing emotion that he doesn't understand.
✓ - How do they react to praise?
Depends on who it's from. Most of the time, his answers are proud and fairly rude.
Praise from Kyo earns a smug smile and a very pleased Akira.
✖ - Who is someone they just cannot stand?
answered!

(・∀・ ) = The character’s emotional state most of the time
Akira's ideal emotional state most of the time is an icy calm that hides whatever he may be thinking next, and usually, that what he shows. His actual emotional state is one of fragile confidence; he blusters and boasts, but he's easy to set off.
。゚(TヮT)゚。 = What makes the character laugh
Not a whole lot, really. His sense of humor is fairly deadened. However, any of the other Shiseiten can have him laughing fairly easily in some way or another. Maybe it's simply a familial thing.

4, 6, 19!
Have you always liked to write and at what age did you start?
Yes, I have always loved to write some thing or another. When I was little, I didn't have many people my age to play or interact with. There was school, of course, but I live a mile from the nearest neighbor, and the people that were remotely close didn't have kids. So, reading and writing was a major source of entertainment for me. I didn't write anything real seriously when I was little, but I made silly little sentences and different things when I was maybe four or five.
How do you find inspiration to write when you can't seem to find your muse?
I tend to take a step back and reflect on my writing. Rereading the manga and watching the anime again helps. I tend to look at a particular thread I'm stuck on and try to find out why I'm having the problem. From there, I can try to either find a particular scene or chapter that Sano's going through a similar emotion/situation. When I'm able to find it, I analyze and try to get in Sano's head. When I think I've got a good grasp, the rest comes easy.
What one piece of literature has been most inspirational/life changing for you? Why?
Wicked by Gregory Maguire. I can't fully explain it. When I first read the book, I was absolutely spellbound. Then, I was luck enough to go see the musical adaption of it, and it truly captured my heart then. I've read all four books in the series and love them all dearly. I read the book in junior high (middle school) which is currently the lowest point in my life. I felt isolated, unable to relate to anyone or anything. Because I wasn't 'mainstream' I was considered someone to be ignored, bullied, and ridiculed. After reading the book, it helped me find the confidence in myself I nearly lost.

☯ : Do they believe for every darkness there is a lightness? If not, why?
Akira has more of a mindset of the opposite: every good thing has a darkness behind it. Call it a leftover mindset from his time as an orphan, but back then, people weren't kind to him just to be kind; more often than not they wanted something in return.
The only person so far that he can think of who is selflessly good for the sake of being good is Yuya, and that fact has thrown him on his head some.
