Sessions from The Kyoto Connection´s laboratory.
Here I´m playing with my Ensoniq TS10 and my Roland D550. No effects, just pure-raw sound from both machines recorded directly into Ableton Live.
The looped “spaceship” background comes from the lower zone of the TS10. If you are not aware of this synth, it´s a complete wavetable monster (I even like it better than the Wavestation) from 1993. The upper zone of the TS10 is assigned to one of my favorites flute patches: “Baliflute”.
I´m controlling the D550 from a Roland Juno GI. The main sound I use “Inner Edge” from the new(!!) Roland D50 sound library “Linear Universe” by CL Projects. An amazing sound bank full of ambient/inspirational sounds - I will post more about it in the near future.
