The Holy Spirit does not speak to a soul that is distracted and garrulous. He speaks by His quiet inspirations to a soul that is recollected, to a soul that knows how to keep silence. //#SaintFaustina of #DivineMercy Following in the footsteps of our Lord, who observed the Sabbath each Friday, we are invited to #EnterIn to that same #Shabbat during the Fridays of #Lent. When we choose #silence over #distraction, when we place our God alone at the center of the universe which is in our hearts, we experience the #rest and #peace that is #ShabbatShalom From #sundown to #sunset, Friday through Sunday, let #Jesus show you what is to hear him. Go for a #GodWalk, keep the television off, avoid reading for pleasure or learning and instead choose to sit in the silence with God and marvel at the world around you. He is speaking every day to you, about you and about the ones you love, only its difficult to hear him if we have not accustomed ourselves to the sound of silence. Peace is not the absent of sound but rather the Presence of silence in one’s heart. Learning to become still when the world continues to vibrate around you is the essence of Shabbat and it is the heart of Lent. It’s in the silence we find our Messiah beautiful amidst all his sufferings. The violence of Calvary becomes a beautiful hymn in the ears of those recollected to listen. #meditationswithsaints #livinglent #lentenmeditations #wordoftheday #wotd #scriptureoftheday #sotd #saintwisdom #wakingeve #bissisterhood https://www.instagram.com/wakingeve/p/BuwwGESHVBD/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1x84sj9ok3xag
