This is the week that changed the world. As we pray for the people of Ukraine and Russia. The world is shocked at the behavior of a power-drunk dictator. Let's take a moment and meditate on the blessings of being meek. The beatitude: Blessed are the meek for they will inherit the earth. What will it benefit a person if they gain the whole world and lose their soul? Meekness is our attitude towards God and others. Those that want to be the greatest- should be least and learn to serve. Meekness is not weakness- it is power. Meekness is never grasping for what you can get. Jesus said, "Take my yoke upon you, for I am gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest for your souls". They are happy and blessed because there is more to life than trampling your way to the top. The meek are happy because every good gift they have comes from heaven above. The meek are happy because they are heirs to the whole earth. They don't have to take it. God gives it to them. Blessed are the meek for they will inherit the whole earth. Ultimately, we know Mr. Putin will not have Ukraine. The whole earth is the Lords and fullness thereof.

God's goodness and mercy endure forever, He has made beauty where we see none. Hold on in difficult times. God is still good. Up above all this gloom, the sun is... shinning. We just can't see it. But we will.
