there are many times where castorice begins to drown within her own anxieties — much weighs upon her soul, including but not limited to the fate of that outlander. will she be able to return them to their normal self in time? or will she fail, and have to bid farewell to yet another companion that she is close to? none can say for certain, but as the demigod of death, the duties of the dead rest solely on her shoulders. and it certainly weighs on castorice quite a bit, it seems.

lost in thought, castorice is pulled from the tide by none other than sen, who interlocks their fingers and gives her hand a gentle squeeze for reassurance. demigoddess almost pulls back instinctively, feeling that inevitable tug at the life force of the other, but then she remembers — she doesn't have to worry about accidentally killing sen. as she remembers that, her body relaxes, head gently landing upon the royal's shoulder. gently closing her eyes, she breathes out a hefty sigh.

"ah- thank you, sen..." a grateful murmur is heard, the weight of the worry upon her soul rushing out. allowing herself to relax once more, she soon falls asleep upon sen's shoulder, soft snores escaping her. even so, her hand does not leave the other's.

for once, the hand of shadow is able to forget her duties and rest.
