no but really she found that adrenaline inducing late night adventures, drinking, & smoking distracted her enough from the guilt ; it made her more emotionless & immune to the feelings of being a mistake ; she’s never alone

xavier comes from a wealthy family that owns manufacturing and licensing companies for HUGE skate apparel brands ( vans, odd future, burton, obey, etc. ) 

he’s been a troublemaker since inception. even as a kid, he’s been in trouble with his private schools for starting playground fights, stealing school supplies, and even pulling off a few elaborate pranks. 

TW: DWI / DRUGS / VIOLENCE since high school, he’s been in trouble for driving while intoxicated, property damage, possession, assault, and has been suspended for truancies and rough housing. all of which gets swept under the rug by his parents. 

xavier is a competitive skater, who is sponsored by exclusive brands. he’s won a few prominent competitions but has no plans of pursuing it as a future career. 

with a little over a half a million instagram followers, it’s easy to collect ad revenue and support the brands his parents help create and mass produce. in fact, xavier doesn’t really imagine doing anything else but this after high school. 

known for his parties that are project x style. throws one every few weeks, where trouble is bound to start. 

he is a political activist and extremely talented artist. no one really know who’s behind some of the art that shows up on white walls around the town, but xavier isn’t afraid to boast when asked about it. given his knack for spray painting, he has considered applying to art school but hasn’t committed to anything. he’s leaving things up in the air during his gap year.

PERSONALITY 

xavier would hate to admit it, but he’s actually pretty s*ft. he is extremely loyal to his friends and would do just about anything for them.

he is fairly sensitive and somewhat of a minefield. one wrong move and BOOM! he has an extremely short fuse, which means that he can be set off pretty easy. he loves to fight and argue and will do just about anything to get tensions to rise.

TW: DRUGS extremely amazing artist, huge skater, and even bigger pothead. loves all things that cause trouble and loves to throw parties. he has a surprising stash of alcohol and drugs especially for the ragers he throws.

has a very particular style. consists of black dickies, vibrant socks, graphic tees, skate shoes, and graphic print button ups. loves anything that’s remotely strange in the fashion world.

even though he’s an extreme rule breaker ( chaotic evil to the MAX ), he also has a sense of morals that he sticks to. there are certain things that he just doesn’t tolerate, and he’s willing to go to war for them and the people he loves.

seems super unapproachable, but actually fairly charismatic. he’s pretty funny and intellectual when he wants to be. very much a class clown, and doesn’t mind sparking small talk. nevertheless, catch him in the wrong mood and forget it.

actually very smart. although his gpa doesn’t reflect that, he knows economics and marketing pretty well from his parents. 

WANTED CONNECTIONS

first off, for those who play MILES, CATALINA, FINN & CLARA -- i’ll be comin’ to you so that we can work out the logistics of our pre-established connections. below are connections i’d like besides those ( which can be filled by ANYONE ) !!

let’s start with his fam . his dad , elliot , is a renowned plastic surgeon ( he’s prob given half of ur muses’ moms botox lbr ) and his mom , theresa , is a famous fashion designer . due to her job , his mom travels a lot and his parents bicker quite a bit about how absent she is a lot of the time , but somehow they’ve stuck it through 31 years of marriage and pres loves and idolizes them for it .

theresa and elliot had 3 amazingly brilliant kids : serena , preston , and caitlin . because theresa travels a lot , elliot had to pick up the slack and has always tried his hardest to be a good father but , bless his heart , he’s very clueless when it comes to simple household chores like cooking and cleaning so preston and his sisters all learned very quickly how to care for themselves and each other , and the three of them eventually adopted their own roles within the soung household :

serena , being the eldest at 21 , is the mature mother figure . she’s the best listener out of the three , has the biggest heart , and has bandaged most of preston’s wounds from his crazy antics . it was no surprise that rena moved on to excel in nursing school after high school . she now lives in manhattan and works as a nurse in the er , but she visits often and is always a phone call away .

caitlin , 15 years old , is the housekeeper . she was always that little kid who loved her toy broom and had a knack for knowing just how to get that stain out of the run before dad got home ( because the maids would surely tattle if they asked for help ) . she’s recently adopted a love for interior design and likes to move the furniture around the house , and as annoying as it is , preston can’t help but admit that his lil sis has an eye for design .

preston is the entertainment and chef . he was practically born with a smile on his face and it’s hardly disappeared since . half the time his sisters find him beyond annoying because they’re the best victims for his latest pranks , but they usually break into a smile in the end . plus it helps that they know he’ll whip up an exquisite dinner later that night .

no one really knows where his talent and passion for cooking came from — neither of his parents are very good in the kitchen — but somehow young preston found himself in the soung household’s beautiful , grand kitchen watching the chef his parents hired whip up dinner and he was mesmerized .

since then , his parents have stopped needing to hire a chef to cook for their family because preston’s biggest hobby has become finding and cooking new recipes in his comfort zone : the kitchen . his pinterest is absolutely filled with recipes he wants to try and put his own spin on , his instagram feed is 90% food , and his bookshelves are stacked with recipe books .

his dream is to become a professional chef and basically be the next gordon ramsay ( aka his #mancrushmonday ) but for now he’s settling for working as a line cook at mel’s diner ( sure , mommy and daddy have money but preston’s never been the spoiled-rotten type and he’s never been keen on relying on their credit cards )

he is 100% in no rush to grow up though . he’s truly a child at heart and is determined to enjoy his youth while it lasts .

preston is without a doubt the chandler of the group . 90% of the time he’s cracking jokes and laughing , the other 10% he’s probably just waiting to crack a joke tbh .

he has a big heart and is definitely the most loyal friend you could ask for , but i wouldn’t run to him for heartfelt advice or anything like that unless you want to recreate this friends scene .

but he is the guy to go to when you need to take your mind off things with a crazy adventure , intense mario kart tournament , a gourmet meal , or a shopping spree ( he will carry all of your bags for you too )

fun is his middle name and he’s made it his life goal to try and make sure he’s not the only one having it . he truly believes laughter is the best medicine ( actually , a good meal is probably considered number one in his books ... ) and he really just doesn’t see the point on dwelling on the negative ??

this trait may turn out toxic in times of true difficulty as preston’s second best talent after cooking is burying all of his emotions and ignoring them and acting like he doesn’t give a shit !!! what a healthy man !!!

he is definitely that outgoing guy who blends into every clique or high school group , gets invited to every party , and can get along with practically everyone he meets . he likes to give everyone a fair chance and acts like everyone is his best friend , but he’s got a soft spot for a few select people who have wiggled his way deep into his heart . he’s definitely to loyal to anyone who hasn’t faulted him , but he would risk everything he has for his closest friends and you’d be truly blessed to be considered one of those close friends .

speaking of those who have faulted him , his spirit animal is definitely like a lion cub or baby bear : he’s sweet , cute , and cuddly at first glance , but mess with him or those he loves and you will see fangs bared . he’s got a temper buried deep down that usually only peeks out when those he loves are in trouble .

biography

nora was born to laura and zachary nguyen, and would later become the eldest of three. her father worked as a chemical engineer and her mother worked as an elementary school art teacher. although her father wasn’t around often, she grew close with her mother early on. nora quickly took after caring for her two younger siblings, a brother and a sister, whenever her parents were busy (or arguing, but nora tried to tune it out). she took her life for granted as she grew up in the hamptons.

when she was in fifth grade, at about 11 years old, her father was caught in an affair and so her mother called for a divorce. while her mother got custody of the children, nora still had to travel with her siblings to stay at her father’s for weekends. her mother moved away from the hamptons while her father kept the house. it was an exhausting life that nora had to keep up, especially when she didn’t want to be around her father.

her mother’s residence was only a small apartment just barely big enough for the four of them. all the siblings had to share a bedroom and the dining room was nothing like at her father’s. and while nora had initially complained, she grew accustomed. she helped her mother with all the chores she could while her mom had to find a second job to keep the family financially stable - after all, it was her dad who had supported a majority of their life in the hamptons.

meanwhile at school, it was difficult for her to focus on school while taking care of her siblings and the weekly travels to her father’s house. in middle school, she skipped field trips to save money for her mom and would give up her lunches to her siblings. she fell into art and reading as a means of coping. her mother began to drink more heavily as the years went by and the family would manage to scrape by. her father, of course, “couldn’t” lend them money to help with the rent or any of the bills, which only infuriated nora.

freshman year of high school, her mother succumbed to a heart disease. despite everything the doctors tried, the medical bills were too costly and her mother later passed away several months later. nora, furious with the system, her own financial troubles, and the grief of losing her mother, was spurred into a diligence and fervent caretaking of her siblings as she had to move in with her father.

nora became involved in mock trial, debate, and newspaper in high school, a way of channeling her emotions into what she found she could do best – voice her opinion. wanting to make her mother proud and perhaps prove her strict father wrong, she refocused her goals into not only becoming a lawyer and helping others, but participating in numerous activist causes.

she also found an outlet in the art that she loved to create – particularly, she loved revisiting her old neighborhood where her mother’s place was and painting street art onto the walls, a different channel of emotions that you wouldn’t expect from someone who’s voice may be raw from arguing all day. but art calmed the fire in her veins in a way that nothing else could, and it makes her feel closer to her mother. she loves the rawness of brick walls and the in-the-moment paintings that graffiti can be.

which leads to where she stands today – accepted at stanford in pursuit of law and ready to face the world. although she still despises her father and now stepmother, she has moved back into the hamptons with a different mindset. she’s determined to help the community she grew up knowing, even if it was outside the luxury of the neighborhood she currently resides in.

fervent: she is passionate about what she does. she puts her entire heart into everything she can and it’s either 100% or 0%, no in between. she fights for what she believes is right and isn’t afraid to stand up for anyone.

charli jade moon was born in long island on christmas day, 2000. her father was the only son to a coffee mogul and when he passed away the company was left to him. charli’s mother was a new york socialite in her prime. being the only child, charli never wanted for anything. she grew up happy and healthy, despite not being close with her parents.

growing up, charli spent most of her time with her nanny. her father was always busy with the company. her mother had never really wanted children and spent most of her time avoiding her own daughter.

being the only child was lonely, and charli was always a little awkward and didn’t make friends easily. she had a few childhood friends, and she is still friends with them now. she was never one to go through friends,

despite the lack of parental attention, charli grew up happy and healthy. sweet as syrup was the way most adults (and peers) would describe her, but that sweetness was questioned. was it fake? was it a facade? everyone had an opinion on her growing up, but she held her head high and ignored the rumor mill that has existed in long island forever.
