Do you have any sort of fluffy head cannons or something for if Classic (Undertale Sans), Fell (Underfell Sans), and Stretch (Underswap Papyrus) discovered that a s/o and/or lover had depression? You don't have to, I was just wondering...
Undertale!Sans - He’s with ya there, buddy. He’s been there before. Frankly, sometimes he wonders if he’s really in a place where he can say he’s not there right now. Eh, not the point. If you’re hurting, he’s not gonna throw you his problems on top of your own. Though, to be fair, before you told him, Sans kind of had a feeling this was the case, just from how you were acting, but he wasn’t about to make any assumptions without your confirmation on something so serious.
Sans isn’t really much the type to want to do a whole lot, and sometimes he just doesn’t have the energy for it, so anything getting done between the two of you is probably slim to none given the overall energy levels. But it doesn’t really bother him -- the last thing he’s worried about is getting petty house chores done on a regular basis. Dishes not done or you guys are too tired to make food? Yeah, he’ll get takeout. He’ll do that for weeks without making food or doing dishes if necessary. You can also bet your life on the fact that if you’re in a particularly bad spell or just generally can’t even get out of bed that he’ll drop any plans he may have had for the day to spend it with you doing whatever you’d like -- even if that’s just cuddling and sleeping all day. Don’t worry about a thing, he’s got you.
Underfell!Sans - Fell is usually a particularly abrasive guy, even when it comes to those he cares about. Even in a relationship, he may tend to (emotionally) distance himself, under the impression that if he expresses his emotions or weaknesses that he’ll be turned away in an instant. But when you come to him and tell him about your depression... all of those built up wall pretty much wash away. Fell becomes a lot more gentle and kind towards you, rarely bothering to hide anything or suppress any emotions he feels. If you’re so willing to tell him of one of your greatest weaknesses and trust him with this information, there’s no reason for him to not give you the same respect.
Nevertheless, that doesn’t mean Fell won’t be a little awkward about things. He’s a bit clingy and protective by nature, but expressing things doesn’t come so naturally. If you seem down at all, he’ll jump on it immediately by doing something like giving you a hug or peck on the cheek, but he’ll be a bit of a blushing mess in the process. Regardless, he’s still gonna shower you in affection -- something he maybe would have considered to be uncharacteristic of himself not too long ago, but when someone shows true care for him, he will do his best to show it back.
Underswap!Papyrus - He’s not exactly an expert on the subject of mental illness or neurodiversity, but he has dealt with it before, notably with his brother. His empathy is lacking, but he will provide endless sympathy and do his absolute best to understand what you’re feeling. He’ll probably keep a close eye on you in silent, and if he can noticeably tell you’re not doing so well during the day, Swapap will likely end up surprising you with something: whether it be something as simple as a hug or something as large as a cake ordered special from Muffet’s, you better believe he’s going to go out of his way to do his best to cheer you up. It’s not a perfect end-all solution and he knows that, but every little thing counts, right?
Swapap isn’t a guy much for doing work, but it’s not something he’s incapable of doing. He doesn’t work himself as much as his brother does, but he can do a full-time job or two if you need him to. If you need time to recover and can’t work, he’ll do the most he can to make sure you guys still have what you need. And he might splurge on you every once in a while, just because. He’ll be with you every moment he can, and every moment he’s not, he’s still doing something to help you. Getting you back on your feet is his number-one priority.
