The little white worms that you find in your worm farms aren't, as some folks think, baby compost worms, These are critters called Entrachydids. They're in your worm farm to break down acidic material as they're presence indicates a bit of an imbalance. Unless they're in plague members, they're normal, especially if you eat lots of acidic fruit and put the resulting scraps into your worm farm. If you're patient enough to fish a few out, feed them to your fish as they love them!Someone always benefits from our garden! If you reckon you've too many in your worm farm, start mixing a little dolomite or even bicarb soda into the scraps that you add. That will make the mix a little more alkaline and deter them from breeding. _________________________________________________ #vermicomposting #wormfarming #composting #Entrachydids, #fishfood (at Gawler, South Australia) https://www.instagram.com/p/CVbpAikPdDj/?utm_medium=tumblr
