🍃​Whilst Hakuryuu is definitely going to be a colder person after returning from Sindria and especially after becoming the Fourth Emperor and falling into depravity, at his core he always wants to treasure you and love you. Especially if you happen to be someone he has known for years is he going to cling to this idea of wedding you and being a good husband to you. There are definitely some trust issues he is inevitably going to develop throughout the years as Judar's influence, his own hatred and the creeping whispers of depravity which may lead him to adopt a crueler approach to you at times yet ultimately he never once dehumanises you are thinks of you as a mere plaything. Judar may make as much fun of him as possible that Hakuryuu is treating you just barely better than his despicable mother did her own husbands but Hakuryuu knows the truth. He loves you, he is starting wars over you and beyond it all he really wants to spoil you and love you like he knows he is capable of doing. The only problem is that you tend to make things difficult due to your uncooperative behavior, forcing his hand multiple times as he has to give orders to lock you away or imprison you. Why can't you just cooperate? Why can't you just love him?

Delusional

🍃​I'd say the fact that he is delusional is going to be especially obvious if you are someone who knew him and loved him even before he changed so drastically. If you loved him before, you should be capable to love him again even if he has learned to grow up more. It is this inability within Hakuryuu's mind to accept the fact that you do not love him for the hateful person he has become which qualifies him as more of a delusional person than an aware one. He doesn't just turn his back from the truth sitting somewhere within his mind but he actively builds a wall around it as he begins to strategise what can be done to have you return his affection. The denial leads him soon to commit deeds you most likely can never forgive him for yet within his twisted and affected mind he is convinced that doing them is going to help you to love him again. He weds you against your will as he is convinced that by crowning you Empress and letting you stay by his side you will see what he goes through and will not only forgive him but admire and love him again. He believes that your sense of duty is going to bind you to him too. The world is not bearable unless he possesses your love and it is to protect his own mind from shattering that that he deludes himself to believe that there is always a possibility.

Honest

🍃​Manipulative attributes are there, especially considering that he is capable of altering the memories and minds of people due to being in possession of the Djinn Belial. There may be times where his mind is about to split apart where he may even use his Metal Vessels to force you to love him but ultimately it isn't what he wants and it isn't what makes him happy either. The longer the events of the story drag on, the more Hakuryuu just cannot be bothered to manipulate and lie to you any more. Much more on the opposite actually as he becomes raw in his confessions to you as he is close to begging at some points for you to understand him and love him again like you used to back in the days. He knows you still hold affection for him. Yet every time he is met with silence, leading his own heart to grow significantly colder which is reflected in the way he treats his subordinates. Drastic measurements tend to be taken as a result as he may openly begin to threaten you and the people you love in any attempt to make you listen to him. Whether his actions follow any moral codex does not matter to him any longer and somewhere he may still believe that even such crude actions may eventually help you to understand that he needs you and make you love him again instead of only pushing you further away.

Strict

You may not leave the empire. You may not leave the palace. You may eventually not even be allowed to leave the floor you reside on as the further away Hakuryuu's mind drifts, the more paranoid and desperate he becomes. Isolation is pushed upon you increasingly more as he may start to believe that he limits your social interactions to nothing, he can rekindle your love for him once again. Servants are forbidden from interacting with you as they are instead there to monitor your every movement to report it all back to him at the end of the day when he returns to the bedchambers where you are waiting for him. Judar adds only fuel to the flame as the black-haired man has a hobby of tormenting you whilst depravity only causes Hakuryuu to spiral further down the path until you find yourself restricted permanently to the bedchambers where you always have to ask for his permission first before being allowed to spend the day anywhere else. Attempts to escape on your own are met with swift punishments where you are chained up with Hakuryuu visiting you afterwards, expressing his disappointment in you. Yet no matter how often you end up locked away, he refuses to the very end to entertain the realisation that your love for him is no more.

3. Do I have to submit my entry on the day of the prompt?

Absolutely not. Once the week is over, this account will still be active to reblog any late entry! There is no due date, just submit when you have the time, whether that be the day after or ten years later.

4. How will others find my entries?

Just post them here with the #juhakuweek2026, We specify the year because there have been juhaku week events before this one, so that stops our tags getting mixed with theirs. Tagging this account is optional, but encouraged!

As long as they take place after Hakuryuu has turned 18 (Post Magnostadt), then yes! And they will be shared here with an #nsfw tag. If your entry takes place while Hakuryuu is 17, we will not be sharing it here and will not affiliate with your entries.

So I'm currently on a week long road trip to celebrate my 10th anniversary, because I've somehow been married that long now?????? WILD. But the beginning of it was very special to me, because we hit up some cryptid/road side attraction type locations in West Virginia....and I took pics of the juhaku nuis at them!!!

Why is that special? My incredibly talented and sexy wife @dragonofeternal wrote a series of juhaku fics where they road tripped and went to roadside attractions and it's so good and important 🖤🖤🖤
