it's the way that a gust of cold wind blows over her as if in punishment for her actions tonight.

not only did she do something she never would've done before, once again cursing the alcohol in her system, she's clearly broken a rule set by the camp and the university. but there is no time to lament over something that's already been done.

yes, she already jumped in the lake. and yes, she's just wearing a hoodie and her undies right now. and yes, the rest of her clothes are bunched up against her chest as she walks the path back to the dorms, trying not to trip on her slippers in the process.

cold, shivering, and sopping wet.

agatha reaches the dorms with her teeth clattering and is not expecting to run into anyone, thinking that the majority of the student body is standing on business with the trivia game. but she runs into someone as she rounds the corner, dropping her clothes in the process with her bra in full display on the floor.

"oh geez, you scared me!"

for someone who spent a good fifteen minutes trying to make a case for why you should feed me, lucas sure as hell isn't appreciative when he actually gets fed.

his nose scrunches as he picks out the colourful array of vegetables with his chopsticks and pushes them to the side. it's not that he can't eat them. he can, if someone held a gun to his head. it's just—he grew up on convenience store ramyeon and fish roasted over charcoal grills. his childhood knew next to nothing of fresh legumes.

"you want?" lucas offers the small pile on his plate to shiyu. despite his immense desire to dispose of these tasteless accompaniments, he unfortunately has trauma around wasting food ( some days, he still hears the taoist priest's voice berating him for leaving a grain of rice behind ).

he then picks at another thing. tries a teeny, tiny bite. frowns. "what the hell is this?" certainly not beef, that's for sure. he lifts it up for shiyu to see. "mushroom?"

ready or not ft. wang shiyu @entropicue

yerim isn’t sure what possessed her to actually take shiyu’s words seriously. she could have easily ignored it — god knows shiyu probably had expected her to. but there was something that didn’t feel right about turning down a challenge, especially from wang shiyu. as she approaches the court, the badminton club seems to be winding down from their practice, but there’s still a faint hum of activity — some members are still slapping a shuttlecock around, and there’s an echo of voices she can’t distinguish. 

it’s not like she’d actually planned anything with shiyu — again, because she highly doubt shiyu was actually expecting her to show up. so, she figured her best bet was to hope to catch her after practice. yerim pauses by the sidelines, letting her bag fall to the ground as she scans the crowd of people who are there — most who seem to be leaving, unless they’re occupied talking to their teammates. and among them is shiyu herself, just as she’d hoped for. 

she makes a quick adjustment — tightening her high ponytail with a crisp tug, smoothening the folds of her white tennis skirt — before she moves to approach the older. thankfully, she doesn’t seem to be particularly occupied with anything, meaning yerim won’t be interrupting. 

“so,” she starts as she approaches, one eyebrow raised, “are we doing this or not?” her arms cross over her chest, and there’s a smirk playing on her lips — now yerim is the one with a challenge. 

“unless you’ve got cold feet.”

what is a hockey player if not an avid drinker of cheap beer? and what is a korean young adult if not a victim of team dinners and social etiquette demanding more and more alcohol be consumed? perhaps unfortunately for connor, he is both. and yes, this is just a casual meetup with friends and not an important company outing but any good twenty-something will take any excuse to drink in excess. especially connor han, who definitely believes he deserves it for one reason or another.

it's while he still has a little too much liquor in his belly that he spies a pretty girl from across the bar. "check out that sniper," he elbows his friend, nods in her direction oh so discreetly, and lets his eyes linger on a pretty face, a good body, a healthy complexion. in simple terms, he thinks she's hot. "i'm going to go introduce myself," he announces to his buddies with all of the confidence of a young drunkard.

and so he saunters over, or more likely stumbles when he realizes what the alcohol has already done to his legs, feeling much cooler than he probably looks. "hey," connor slides up to the girl, grin on his face. he's glad that he remembered to put his jib in before going out today-- you never know who you might meet after all. "what are you drinking and can i buy you another?"

he's used to it being easy, to girls fawning all over a hockey player just for his attention. but this isn't canada and he's not some up and coming star in the country's hottest sport. he's got a shot at making the national team, sure, but it's not like anyone in korea cares about ice hockey. even if connor remembered, would he even care? it's just like him to be full of baseless confidence anyway.
